7DEB9D22-6968-497A-AB6B-CD985C08C737.jpeg Friday mail call is from Razor Emporium. I got Myrsol Blue shave soap and aftershave as well as their Agua De Limon aftershave. These are my first Myrsol items I’ve ever bought.

Picked up the fall scent by Soap Commander - Hot Apple Cider and Toasted Marshmallows - a bit thirsty but lathered up nicely this morning. Love the scent - not to sweet. They also included a sample of Liberty - which is a coconut, floral and vanilla. I am pretty sure I am going to like it. This is my second Soap Commander purchase but my first directly from them. They included a very nice, personal, hand written note. I really love the the 6 oz size and extra head room in the container. You can load your brush without making too much of a mess. The lid also makes a great bowl when traveling.

I almost picked one of these up a while back. Sadly I hesitated. Hopefully I can find another one in the wild one day

Been awhile since I bought a Gillette razor but this one was one of those buy it when you see it razors since they don't come up for sale often.

I still need to fully straighten out the razor but it is good enough for regular use right now.

Collecting razors can be like waiting for a bus. Nothing for ages and then 3 come along at the same time.

I like a few things when it comes to vintage razors.

    1) English made razors
    2) Razors with a matching case.

I asked a few weeks ago about a SE razor and i have one on its way from the bay at the moment, but neither of the two conditions above match.

Today, i was cycling home and i was taken a different route for various reasons and i happened upon a junk shop. I nosed in and to my delight i saw a pair of razors for sale. A English SE ever ready with case and a really great looking super slim twist. Both made in England. Both with matching case.

I had a hard haggle for them tbh and i agreed a price more than i wanted to pay but less than Ebay+Shipping.

Both have cleaned up great but i am particularly stoked about the slim. It is one of the few vintage English razors i am missing and it is in fab condition. Complete with matching blade case. It looks like the original blades were used and then it was shoved in a draw for the last 50 years. I can't wait to use them.
Now, where to get SE blades and what type?.
