Nice M Neil. Horse knots??? Got one, don't use it much, it's not bad. I just got a synthetic from keith @Enrico First one I've had the pleasure to use. If you don't have one, you might try it. They are cheaper than most brushes, so cost shouldn't be an issue. Nice shave tp
Modern synthetics are fantastic. It can be difficult to justify using anything else once you have tried them.
Patrick, nice shave, pick and excellent job on the razor! I just hate it when I slice my anywhere on my head while shaving so I empathize with you.
The red tip is somewhat aggressive, but it is among my favorites. Do you have other aggressive razors to compare it with? I wonder if it's bent out of spec. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Evan, I find that the Fatboys and Slims are far more aggressive than the Redtips. To me, Redtips are mild razors.
I'm still around. Life getting organized. Sorry I haven't had mich TSD time, hopefully will be posting regularly again soon.
With my previous comments, I hadn't backed up enough to see the photos just the comments on restoring worn razors. Obviously I don't mind replating as I have my own tools and have spent hundreds learning and actualy replating. However, I wouldn't replate those. I may carefully apply a brush on patch plate to worn corners, but I wouldn't do a complete replate and I'd be extremely careful. Based on those photos they aren't in bad enough shape to justify replating. In my opinion... Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Moving is fun that way. Especially as big a move and change as you made. Figured you were just soaking in the glory of Alabama. And in football season?! That's heaven right there.
I agree to a point. The Red Tip is about a 7 on my Fatboy. I don't use my slim enough to really complare. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Great picture, Patrick! Sorry about the slice on the noggin. I felt the same early on about the Silver Blues. They are now among my favorites. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
