SOTD October 1, 2019 Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Trac II Razor: Surrey Trac II Brush: Surrey badger Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Tobacco Bay Leaf aftershave The razor tease I mentioned yesterday in the September thread is revealed! The humble Trac II. This Surrey razor and brush set came from my great uncle who lived in Utah. I have a lot of his shaving gear, including the Fatboy I use on Fridays. I've used this brush quite a bit as it is a favorite, but only the razor handle a couple of times. Smooth, comfortable shave all around. No issues or complaints. Stellar lather from The Fat and easy whisker removal. Enjoy your day!
Wonderful shave and photo Perry. The razor and brush set are gorgeous. With the family history it makes it very special.

October 1, 2019 Wolfman WR1 OC Ti (O.73mm) with Hempel Ti Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow Heritage Collection C-MON SV Cubebe Shave Soap & Aftershave I decided to start OCtober off with some favorites and a new brush. I am a big fan of SV soaps. They are easy to lather with excellent slickness and post shave feel. They are hard soaps which helps them stand up to my heavy handed loading. This Wolfman OC was ordered with an increased blade gap. The razor has the blade feel of a Slim on 7 with the efficiency the Slim can't match. The Heritage Collection C-MON brush is a modern reproduction of a vintage brush. I had a 2 band finest SHD fan knot installed. The C-MON loaded and lather the Cubebe soap with ease. With no effort, I had enough lather for a 5 pass shave. However, the Wolfman mowed the stubble baby smooth in 3 passes and touch ups. A splash of the matching Cubebe aftershave left me clean shaven and smelling fantastic. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
