This Shark blade is performing very well so far - today was my third time with it. The Wriggly Tin Coffee soap smells beautiful, its lather is unbelievably rich as well as so easy to work up, and it leaves such a comfortable postshave feeling thanks to the goat milk in it. Dave’s balm is a work of art - a nice scent with awesome moisturizing and soothing. I love the scent of the Proraso Red aftershave. I only needed two passes to get a fantastic BBS shave!

Today I used a soap i never utilized before: only read something, but I am always somewhat skeptical in regards of 'odd' soaps.
It seems to be formulated with the water od Styx river where Thetis dipped Achilleas and this should be a confirmed guarantee of safety.
As long as we do not shave our heels!

As a matter of fact I cannot agree with the enthusiastic comments: it lathered poorly even if slickness and protection (obviously: river Styx in not a tourist trap!) were consistent.

Went back to a boar brush, but, I remembered why I have been neglecting them since long.

And used, for the second time, I believe, a razor which seems to be a NOS one.
I did not even feel the blade but shave has been pretty satisfactory and smooth: a must since i had a very short beard after yesterday deep shave.

I would recommend neither the soap nor the razor even if using this DE has been a journey into Memory Lane!

The Schapenmelk SS is great, the ML Silvertip worked wonderfully, the blade not so much. Think I pushed it 1 shave to many. Wasn't bad, just not great. Anyway, there's always tomorrow. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I can't tolerate the 'synthetic' smell from MWF. I know it isn't the tallow seeing as my favourite soap has it as the first ingredient. It has to be something else.
It is unfortunate as it is an excellent soap, but I am not concerned, in the slightest, as I think I am using a fantastic soap.

Just started my OCtober and Tabactober -- and any other 'tober I can think of -- with my 1905 Gillette Double Ring and a slightly used Feather blade. Tabac was lathered with my NYC acquired (Pasteur's Pharmacy) Omega 10077 Boar. I was going to do a full 3-pass shave, but after lathering my face for the 3rd pass, I ran my hand around just to see how my trouble-spots were faring, and I couldn't feel any stubble....just a little bit of roughness on the right side jawline. So I did a super light touch-up and I was done. No blood (bleeders or otherwise), no irritation, and no stubble....just a DFS+/BBS-
