  1. I will certainly consider that PAA BR sometime. The BR I have now has some clove notes, but they're nicely mixed in with others thus they don't jump at me. That is Stephan. But you're right....I'm not a clove man.

  3. I'll get some exact measurements and weighs but the handles are basically the same style. However, Nodachi handle is longer and heavier. I liked the balance of the razor with the smaller handle. I will try it as designed but will likely change it to the smaller handle. Plus the Nodachi handle does not fit the Tatara razor stand. Looking at my Wolfman WR-1, the Tatara razors are very similar. I really need to take some detailed photos and measurements of both. Given the current price difference and availability the Tatara has a lot going for it.
  4. Wonderful shave Nelson .
I use a Feather blade in everything, but I don't recomend it. They are an aquried tastes. The ones you have in your posts should be more than adequate.

  7. Aaaaand an update. @Norcalnewb , I'm also having a serious look at their OTHER Bay Rum.....Boomtown. No clove in that one, either, and some mighty impressive scents put together. (Gunsmoke, Leather to name two). Did you consider that one, as well as Atomic?

  13. I might have to make a financial decision here....3.4 oz of No-Clove Bay Rum splash at $24.95 or 8 oz. of Bill Neumann soap at $28. Stay tuned....let's see what PAA charges for no-clove Bay Rum SOAP...ahhh, what am I thinking, I still have a monster amount of Jeeves of Hudson BR soap.

  15. Remember when I said my “once used” aggressive razor? Well, I went full Monty on that go round, a Feather blade on my first time with it. :shocked003:Ouch. :angry021:
That was a rough shave. It hurt. During and after, and I put that razor in a drawer. :sick002:That was probably 4 months ago.
Today I took it out of the drawer. :duel:

    It’s on like Donkey Kong!

  17. Thanks Terry! It happens when I am not fully awake and in a hurry which is a great combo for a shaving mishap.

  20. Well, Antoine LaVoisier was considered the Father of Modern Chemistry. He was a philantropist and was involved in improving French society prior to the Reign of Terror. Unfortunately, he was guillotined because he was involved with the French government.
