7 o'clock single edge razor. From what I understand these were also Henry Gaisman designed razors like the Autostrop. I just need to figure out how to make a despined Gem or Feather blade work with this thing since the 7 o'clock blades are different from either.
Some months ago, I attempted a sabbatical that lasted about 2 minutes. After that long and torturous ordeal, I got on the waiting list for Wolf Whiskers and this beauty if on the way as I type this. I'm so excited!!!
Thanks, Gary! The knot is getting set and the lettering getting painted tonight. Hopefully get in the mail tomorrow.
Waiting on a One Blade Core. Got a link from Mantic59 for the Core at $19.95 then tacked on the Veteran’s discount. Got it for $16.95 free shipping. Can’t wait to try it. Sent from my iPhoneXR using Tapatalk
2 Schick 500 razors Seller's pictures used here. First one I am classifying as a J5. This razor was sold concurrently with the J4 Golden 500. Reason and variations are here. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/schick-injector-type-i-and-j-reclassification.62682/ Next one I am calling an L9. This one I think was only produced in Europe from 1967/68 until ??. Either way this style of razor shows up again in 1972 - 1975 with a yellow handle as a Lady Eversharp.
Waiting on some "samples", Bay Rum, Cedar & Sage, and Leather and Smoke, from Mystic Water Soap Co. They were suggested by someone on another thread, so I looked. They sound good on their site. Looking forward to seeing how they turn out!
I have only one by them, good stuff! Raspberry Lemon is one of those scents bordering on flavor. I've been tempted to taste it. Reputed to be difficult to lather in hard water, but they adjusted the base some time after mine was made.
"A Close Shave" (borrowed pic) I got it for a good price ...... Don't worry @wchnu (Fuzzy) this one's for coffee.
In a trade with a TSD Member - refills on Proraso Green AS splash & preshave soap, and my first tub of Red preshave soap. Looking forward to enjoying a three step sandalwood experience!
