Having observed the great debate over soap cakes, tubs & pucks. I became a little confusseled on what my new Col Conk material is.
I had decided that this bowl was too small for my normal helpings of soup or cereal, so I decided to use it to put my new soap in. I hope the good Colonel is not upset with me. Also, not being sure if this needs to be called a puck or a cake, I will use the hybrid term "puke".
Well the Blue Ming took off, grumbling about not wanting to be involved with Col Conk's blooming puke.
I normally am not a Bay Rum fan, but liked the Col Conk Lime soo much, figured I'd give it a try. Not too strong and no over-hang, so it was just right for me.
It didn't take long to get the Col Conk Bay Rum puke to 'spume forth'. I figure we were clicking the rails at spume factor 8 with the suds of the Colonels puke.
If I ever have to 'go economy' with shave soaps it will be Col Conk hands down.
Day 2 on the Feather blade in the New SC. Most of my DE shaves were with a mild tool like EJ DE89 or an adjustable dialed down or wide open. This seems like it somewhere in the middle. I like the blade holding setup, no margin for slop or a misload. I also like the small cap, which with the nice amount of blade feel makes staying "on angle" easier than with a 'milder' piece.
The puke of Col Conk's bay rum, the pig hair brush, the aged razor, and Japan's finest blade all came together for a great shaving experience.
I can't remember who here at TSD recommended Lucky Tiger After Shave & Face Tonic to me, but it should be found in every Shave Den.
Just a 'light coat' of the Dirty South Shavers AS was perfect.
Speaking of aftershaves it has come to my attention that folks in these parts have been found making their own aftershaves with the hi potency Everclear. Caution is to be advised.....
....... always consider the ingestability of the sum total of the ingredients so you are always safe drinking your mistakes.
