Nice, Dale! Thank you, Perry! Thanks, Charlie! No, no pictures. My concern is they could be used against me in divorce court.
thank you Clint.the handle changed it quite a bit.it was head heavy before .the balance is now spot on.i like balanced razors like the heavy brit aristocrats and such so this one now fits the bill.i like light razors as well like my rfbs and tech/new but i use heavier handles with them as well. the common bar handles feel cheap and grip isn't the greatest..imo.just my preference..
@Hembree @Bama Samurai @Keithmax @John Ruschmeyer @SharptoothC Thinking of you fine gentlemen this morning. You're missed 'round these parts, but I need some help to keep this bunch on topic. Hope you all are doing well!
This happens to my scars if i get carried away shaving (which is frequently!). How is the learning curve coming on?
OCtober MWF~~Simpson~~Dovo~~Old Spice Before I run the DE's, I wanted to give the just-returned-to-me Dovo from Scott @DaltonGang who was kind enough to check out the edge and give it some TLC. Per his advice, I simply wiped off the mineral oil and went to work. Nice, smooth WTG pass left my cheeks mos def© DFS. I kept the pressure light and did some neck work with a modicum of skin-stretching. Re-lathered and went ear-to-mouth on both sides. Some nice, light "plinking" sounds. Final pass, ATG on the cheeks, neck and chin resulted in an "almost" BBS. No weepers (funny, I rarely get weepers with a straight), nicks nor cuts. The Thayer's, which is not particularly "stingy", was quiet, as was the double-splash of the Lime AS. Thanks to Scott for his generous help with the Dovo.
thank you Charlie..after i got the new deluxe it was a little plateless but mechanically sound..perfect for hotrodding..if it was really mint i wouldn't mess with it.so i found a clean cap and pictured the perfect handle..karve provided the solution.all the other nice handles are stainless or titanium..the karve 3 inch is brass and it polished well .it doesn't even smell like old pennies..i found a red and black original case for it and ... here it is..original cap and handle beside it..an iconic vintage gillette with a modern touch..
Thank you, Joe! You had a nice shave as well. How is the face feel of the semogue badger brush? Never tried a badger myself
Interesting history pertaining to your "doubling" as a Social Studies teacher(well, "fill-in" right?). Will you explain this to your SS students? Poor Tony...a sad ending for an interesting man.
Razor: Merkur 25c Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless PS: Proraso Soap: MLS Clononia Di Agrumi AS: MLS Cape Verde It was a Mickey Lee Soapworks memorial day. I know OC rasors are supposed to be more aggressive but this 25c is not. I have to use a feather with this razor to get the shave I want. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
