  2. For the survey, Whatever I Choose remains comfortably in front, despite a slight drop, but there's a 3-way tie at 26.9% among our usual entrée Cookies And Ice Cream, Mighty Fat, and No Fat.

  3. True! I am not experienced with brushes like most of the 30DC members because I only have 4, but I find that I like boar and synthetic brushes brushes.

  4. Well I read your recent report with great enthusiasm, I will admit that I was a tad disappointed you were unable to work the word “anon” into it. Something to think about for your next novella...

You’ll find that most experienced shavers feel that a 34C is a good razor to start with, as most of us consider it to be a mild to middle of the road razor. It will pair well with just about any blade, so the most important thing is to pick one that works for you and stick with it in order to achieve consistent technique. Middle of the road blades work well, and you have several there to choose from. My personal choice for starting would be an Astra SP, but any of the brands you mention would work just fine. For me, the derby is a bit dull for my liking, but again the more important thing is to stick with something you were having decent luck with focus on practice and technique, and not worry too much about the blade. If you find one in particular that you have trouble with, shelve it until your technique is better, and you’ll find that it will work just fine.

Best lather yet out of The Fat:

Really loaded the heck out of it and worked it for a good long while before I started adding water and working it in drip by drip. Kept at it until I had a bowl full of shiny lather that was also thick and creamy. Painted it on and went to work. The razor glided effortless across my face removing stubble at it went. Three passes and I was on the better side of a DFS. Decided to finish with a double dose of Bay Rum consisting first if an application of Stirling Bay Rum PSB followed by a generous splash of PAA Pineapple Bay Rum AS. Smelling like an old man today! Have a great day and weekend my friends!

    TGIF!
