Congrats on your new brush, Joe! Neil at Heritage is a great guy to deal with. He contacted me shortly after my C-MON order thanking me for my second purchase which I felt was a nice touch.
Thank you, Clint. I saw an online review of Cubebe that described it as a 'high end shower gel smell'...I need to find that shower gel pronto.
I don't know if it is advice for others per se, Clint, but it has definitely made me quite purposeful in my purchases. I wanted the New Deluxe that Gary had. Buh bye EJ89...definitely made me think twice. That EJ has been put away for my son who is still a few years away from needing it, but it is out of the den and the rotation.
@Linuxguile, here's a story you can enjoy and share with your wife if you want. One of our many summers out in Estes Park(CO), my mom casually said "Y'know, I think my pregnancy with you began ON THE VERY SPOT WHERE YOU'RE STANDING!!! (They were in Estes the first summer of their marriage, staying in a cabin that has now been torn down). Boy, did I jump away from where I was!!!! Talk about full-circle.
Well, that will always be a nice memory for me of my Mom....she could always come up with "wise", clever things to say.
I have been thinking about the Cubebe EdP as well. The more I use the soap and aftershave the better I like the scent. If I count the razor and matching baseplates as 1 razor, I currently have 20 razors. Of those, I will almost never use my birth year Slim ( I don't like shaving with it) and my birth year SS. I have one pristine GEM Damaskeene with blade banks and original Damaskeene blades that I would like to keep in pristine condition. So that leaves me with 17 razors. Compared to most around here I am a light weight. I have far more brushes than razors. In fact I have almost as many brushes as I do soaps. I keep most of the unused razors in the stored downstairs so they are not in the way. Some of the razors I would most like away were gifts from SWMBO so that one is staying. She mentioned I hadn't used it lately at diner last week. I think the goal now while I decide the next step is to cool it on razors.
Ahh, I can't imagine a "pumpkin" aftershave..would be interesting to have a "whiff" from a men's magazine page though.
