Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Shark day 7 Bundubeard Kameelperd’s Kick SS Prep ASB Fine Snake Bite AS Splash Black Garter Cologne I don’t give a damn how cold it is this morning - today I was in the mood for some heavy duty menthol so I grabbed the Kameelperd soap and this shave confirmed it once and for all that this stuff is definitely a match for any of the Stirling Glacials. Wow, as soon as I started lathering up the menthol sensation hit me like a ton of frigid bricks and I started to squint a little but it felt so good. That coffee/peppermint scent is so beautiful and this soap also gives such great postshave care. The Prep felt heavenly afterwards and you wouldn’t believe how powerful the Snake Bite aftershave is. The Black Garter cologne is as old school as you could get - do I ever love it. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave but I have to bury the Shark blade - it’s finito!
Ascension SS/Shark Platinum/Maggard 30mm Tux/LNHC Tashmere Chiseled Face Midnight Stag/John Varvatos Platinum eau de Toilette A good shave on a crisp and cool morning. It felt like a leather, wood and boozie type of day and the components for todays shave made it happen. The shave though is what it’s all about and it did not disappoint. The PAA Ascension with it’s dual open comb head is a tremendously efficient yet amazingly smooth razor. Went through 2 days growth with ease and not a single issue during the 3 pass process. A Cruiserweight that punches in the Heavyweight class. Hell of a razor.
