I binned the blade after I used it. I got 2 passes on the gord after I shaved but at the end, I was getting a little resistance on the last pass of the head shave.
So great you can get so much use out of blades. I tend to cut, nick, and burn if the blade starts to wear. I've tried to get more use, but I just end up hurting myself, so I've given up on that part.
I'm just glad I got through the face and head with only one blade.

+1 - As long as the tool aren't defective, they will serve. Next thing to learning how to get an acceptable, irritation free beard reduction. That's why we're here!
Starting out having to many toys can get in the way. The 30 Day Program is here to slow the roll of New Shavers and help them really learn what their current gear can do. The soap is slippery, the brush works, the blades are sharp, and the razor holds it correctly. Now @Antz gets to learn how to use them in a fashion that will give decent results without hacking up his face. Ask questions Sir!
A Rule? That's a great idea Joe! Glad you thought of it! ;)
There's even some variation in synthetic knots to fine tune to your preference. Small or large diameter, set deep or shallow, in a rainbow of colors for the photo enabled folks. I still like a scrubby boar for the nostalgia since I started with them - they feel "right". Don't think I've had a lather fail because of a synthetic knot.

  10. Moose season just passed so lots of hair to be found . Just working out the "bugs" of how to clean said hair to eliminate such bugs or other strange things it may carry.

good morning campers..saturday shave..got bored with the mwf so i am having a break till monday.stayed with the hard soap at least and went with ..you guessed it.loaded and lathered splendidly as always with the ap shave co tuxedo brush.loaded the gillette super silver blade for shave 2 in the u.s new sc with a gold tech handle and proceeded to get a fantastic bbs in 3 comfortable passes.tabac aftershave and a spritz of cologne to finish..awesome..the super silver is a great blade and feels quite like a super stainless so far.but these gillettes all seem similar .the spoilers just last a lot longer than the modern ones imo..have a great saturday everyone..

  12. Shh, don't give away my secrets Randy! One day when you retire from being an Ice Cream Magnate and sign up for the TSD Mod program, all will be made clear.

I do like to give a disclaimer to New TSD Members about "Advice, Opinions, & Actual Information" Just like those folks Neal @NCoxSTL encountered, the ones he offered assistance to had to make a choice to trust him. So did the possible assailants, but they decided to avoid the encounter. Everyone won that time!

Naw, Put the tool on your Garage Sale/Thrift Store shopping list. I always have some obscure item I'm "looking for" when I do my shops rounds. No worries if I don't find it, but it's fun looking and usually I stumble over something else I'd want.

Charlie @wristwatchb - did we miss an obvious CT opportunity?
