Sat 5th October RazoRock Syn. 24mm P & B Citra Royale ES Claymore V1 Schick Proline [ 1 ] Alcolado Glacial A/S Splash Been away for a week but always good to be back Home. I used the Occams V2 as a Travel Razor, and it proved a great success on plate 3 with a Pro Guard blade it delivered smooth and comfortable Daily Shaves, all of Top Notch quality. Today with a fresh blade the Claymore as usual delivered its usual close all round finish without any problems.
A Gem Zinn Automatic (1905'ish) with a Proline B-20 blade. Tabac was the soap and was lathered with a Jayaruh #270 brush. The finish was Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel. This was my first use of this razor and after 3-passes I had a DFS. The top pic is me trying to be "arty" and the colors are off, but the bottom two pics give you a better sense of this beauty.
Sun 6th Oct. Cyril Salter /Maseto ED 2band P & B Spitfire ATT SE1 & Windrose Handle Schick Proline [ 5 ] P & B Spitfire A/S Splash I am not quite sure when I first started to use this non stock Handle with the ATT Head, but I am sure that that combo is nicely weighted and makes it easy to have a s smooth and comfortable Shave. With a superbly effective lather this morning I had a satisfyingly close all round Shave. I must get some scales to check the weights of my Razor/ Handle combinations as I know that subtle variation seems to improve the performance of different Razors.
Didn't get around to posting this yesterday but it was a great shave. I went with my oldest safety razor the 1900 Kampfe Bros Star with a Gem SS PTFE 4th use. This isn't my smoothest razor but for 119 it's pretty impressive, very efficient and enjoyable to shave with. This was also a rare shave for me as I only used one razor. Mer Shavings Mysore Sandalwood whipped up wonderfully on a two band badger, then a splash of witch hazel rounded things out for a great shave.

Claymore V1, Windrose Darwin Schick Proline P I thoroughly enjoyed that. Smooth Shaves to one and all.
Commonly called "Streamline" in the current era, but razor was never called that. The "Streamline" name was attributed to the small streamlined packaging and case. The exact same razor was placed in Jewel, Gem, and Ambassador packaging. Both Gem and Ever-Ready branding. Here's everything you'd ever want to know along with lots of pics. I wrote this a couple years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Wetshaving/comments/64b8gv/streamline/
Cheers for the excellent write up. I haven't tried the first generation but I believe the thinner spined blades came in with the *Micromatics, this might explain why you find the second Gen smoother. *Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
