    A nice 3 pass shave this morning. Still going with this soap on Mondays until it is done, which at this rate looks like at least 6 or 7 more shaves. I told Gary I was going to do a quick comparison between this New Improved and the New Deluxe he just sent me. Like most every other vintage Gillette, I get good results from it, but I do find this one smoother than the Deluxe. Love the handle design, but it is a pain to polish!
    Finishing with the fine Maol splash is fast becoming a favourite thing to do. Unique scents and a fantastic face feel.

    It is good stuff Paul. Not the soap to end all soaps, but one of those old time formulas that have stood the test of time. I don't think you should try it. You can be the "control" in our experiment - the one lab monkey that doesn't get the test medicine all the others are trying!

    Pseudo science. Charlie. I'm doing my best to document but my methodology is surely flawed since it can't be reproduced in other labs/shave dens. Otherwise I'm having fun with it! Thanks ;)

    You have Joseph. It's a method I've used but I consider it an extreme solution. Shredding did produce great results on a vintage puck of Colgate. It was desiccated to the core and oxidized on the exterior. Extraordinary measures were called for in that situation. Going to see how a couple of days floating in juice works - a 48 hour blooming!

    Thank you, Jason. We are still in temporary housing, we should close on our house next week, then I have been informed we will be painting the bedrooms prior to our furniture being moved in. So it looks like the week of the 21st to move in, but we might spend a few furniture-less nights in the house before.
