  4. Hollow ground 5/8 Salamander today after the Sunday hike. I'm either finally getting the edge I need or my technique is just getting better.

Still on the 14s also, and why not? A nice 14 with a super good jnat edge is just hard to beat. User-grade Filly 14 DT, cream was AoS sandalwood lathered with a Paladin hi-rise beehive on it’s second trial (great brush) and a splash of Myrsol Agua Balsamica complimented the AoS scent quite nicely. BDBS shave.
  6. cool razor sir..

  8. Tonight's shave was with an Old Wedge. I had a very nice and silent, 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. Big, Chunky, and Sharp. Great for tough beards, or small trees.

Razor- George Wostenholm & Son. Wedge.
    Brush- Wilkinson Sword Boar hair
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
    Aftershave- Arctic Blue.

This razor is my first straight. It was in the mystery box I won in a TSD raffle. It was only sharp enough to butter toast when I got it, but having it in my hands was enough to help me realize I could learn the ways of the Dark Side.

After learning to shave with a straight, I wanted to learn how to create and maintain an edge on a razor. The Wagner Rat Razor would be my first challenge.

Recently I had it on my new convexed coticule, and wanted to see what I could come up with.

The tool is small, light, difficult to use without file jimps. It is a capable tool and does shave better than ever. I'm happy with that. It will never be something I use regularly.

Barbershop scent is not my thing. Not bad enough to toss. Not good enough for a restock order.

    Good shave.

13/16 Le Jaguar full hollow, cream was D. R. Harris Marlborough lathered with a Rooney 1/3 Silvertip, and a dab of woody Cade balm complimented the Marlborough scent very well. Perfect shave.

Not a 14, but it is a 14/16. Heljestrand No 140 in ivory, cream and balm was Floris 89. Not too bad on a damp grey morning with a little autumn in the air, and the razor is sublime. BDBS in 2 passes, James Bond would have approved.
