Robert made that specific to what I wanted on it, he engraved an emblem on the blade as well. The quality of the blade is phenomenal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That’s a good guess, and about what I got from the Doble Temple and the Cape Swedish Steel. I want to see if I can get more out of the ice-hardened (cryo) steel in the Sub Cero model. It’s certainly hard steel.
It has been a while since I have shared a shave. This is a Solingen purchased from Glen at Gem Star Customs. Shave soap is one of my favorites; Stirling Mountain Man. Brush is a boar gifted to me and one of my favorites. I had an excellent shave this morning. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Thanks for sharing Chris. I remember when he was offering those... nice pickup. Did that have a day of the week on the spine? Couldn't remember, but I like those 7 day sets. Tom
Yes, this one is Tuesday, if I recall correctly. It is my first quality SR, and I regret not buying the set of four (I think it was four) that he was selling. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
And good to see you got it to work on a day other than a Tuesday... mine won't let me, so I HAVE to get the full set

Just linen and horse hide last night in prep for today. This edge has seen films, Corticule, Thuringian ,and 200k diamond pasted balsa. Always a very pleasing result. Very hard steel compared to the others in my collection. Custom scales by J.R. Rowe.
Joseph Rodgers ivory choppers up today, cream was Floris 89 as was the balm. A spritz of 89 EdT finished up a really nice shave.
Freshly rescaled & honed Kaufmann Old No.55 Brand razor. First edge off a Hard Black Arkansas and it was nice... of course it had a nice head start, since I took of off a Naniwa 12k. Enjoy your shave. Tom

"You Lather Well, I'll Shave Well" Wade and Butcher, post 1890, full wedge...I won the auction on this on in 2018 for $7. I was the only bidder. It looked awlful, but turned out just to be filty. This was my first wedge honing experience. I used one layer of high quality electrical tape. The edge has seen 3m films, a Coticule, Thuringian, and 200k diamond. It is a silent experience with a wedge. I can tell it is not as sharp as others, but my technique and process is more refined now and so I got a wonderful result. I'm a big fan of this Sheffield maker, so much history.
