SOTD: Beautiful shave this morning, its been a while since ive used my puck of Uncle Jon's pipe smoke, and ive missed it! It has a fantastic tobacco/ vanilla scent, it definitely has the strongest scent out of all my shaving soaps, and i absolutely love the stuff. 20 seconds of loading produces tons of lather, more than enough for 3 passes. Ive definitely made up my mind, and for me in general, tallow based soaps blow glycerine ones out of the water in terms of slickness and performance in general. There are a few exceptions, like the fantastic bundubeard coffee puck which performs every bit as well as most tallow based soaps, but as a rule of thumb, i tend to prefer the tallow based soaps. 2019-10-13, Sunday This morning took a stroll at the antique market (antique is an overstatement!) where there was a multitude of cut throat razors indecent even to open envelopes and not a single decent DE! So, I bought an apple pastry and a coffee (both of actual production). A waste of time? Definitely! Driving 40 km's for a coffee it would be silly even if it had been served by Charlize Theron! But I was very satisfied by a shave with one of my favorite razors and soaps even if I doubt I shaved perfectly: nobody, at the market, asked me for an autograph... Just for your information, the EdT bottle looks like a trapeze in my picture only: it is, actually, a very conventional one!
