Safety for fingers, and l to protect the edge, IT IS NOT A GUIDE TO PROTECT YOUR FACE. Its just a kick stand to keep frm ruining the edge.
I would call any design with some sort of guard intended to reduce the chance of cutting or nicking yourself a safety razor. Some may not be effective, but are still safety razors.
Well, no matter how you slice it. Considering what they were using to shave with. "Safety Razor" is a great sales pitch. tp
The word "Safety" paired with the word razor; is a catch phrase sold to us all. Like many catch phrases it is used to guide, shape and yes even control us. We are sold many illusions in our lives, but in this case are we really safer. It's a skilled hand that truly gives you safety. What illusions do you have in your life?
I was under the illusion... That the rolls has a guard. I have been informed that the rolls has a kickstand, but not a guard. I am submitting this vintage advertisement, in which the alleged manufacturer calls this device a "safety razor" several times. This is obviously a forgery, meant to make us think the Rolls is a safety razor. There are dozens of these so-called "advertisements" on the internet. Probably a disinformation campaign created by Rolls Fanboys. The authorities should be made aware of this grave injustice and vile deception visited upon our ancestors.
I never realized that the Brits called the blade attachment point on the blade a "bladehole." I wonder if that became an inside joke at Rolls? "That manager keeps on harping about monthly quotas...he's such a bladehole."
Can we start impeachment hearings against the guys from Rolls? Maybe build a safe place in the forum for folks who feel they have been triggered by this outlandish deception.
@mantic, it feels like we're getting down in the weeds on this. Can you give us a little more context on your article? I thought you wanted a current definition. Language and meaning change over time. Safety razor doesn't have the same meaning it had 100 years ago. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
