My guess is you'll like the hybrid a lot more. The SS head feels much better than the plastic head of the core. I haven't read the B&B thread but I can imagine what it says. Go back 4 years and they had a doom and gloom thread then as well. The bottom line is I know the metal heads work with a modified Gem blade so I am not stuck using the Feather blades. Gillette Tech (Triangle USA) Weber Bulldog Gillette Silver Blue Semogue BC Texugo CO Bigelow SC Just a single pass this morning as I wasn't awake and dropped the brush in the sink after my first pass. Comfortable and presentable but not as close as another pass would have delivered. Not a bad shave at all, just not as close as it could have been. Monday all over again... Enjoy your day.
I quite like my Feather Popular and Gillette Slim Twist, head heavy and easy to hold without thinking too much. But i haven't tried that many DE:s, maybe 8 if i remember correctly. My friend has two of them now and i gave one to my uncle. I hope i like the Gillette i just bought a few days ago.
October 15, 2019 Gillette New SC Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow Alpha Shaving 400 with SHD Cold River Schapenmelk Myrsol Antesol Guerlain Habit Rouge I was up early but just don't want to go into work so I have been dragging my feet all morning. The Alpha 400 loaded and lathered the Schapenmelk soap with ease. I have been happy with the Schapenmelk soap but not overwhelmed so it will not be on the buy again list. Three passes and touch ups just missed the baby. My lower right neck was the nemesis allowing the little guy to escape. A splash of Antesol and a spritz of Habit Rouge and I am ready for the day. Thank you, Clint. I'm trying, hope i will get there finally. Next months no variety thing is probably great for me, i can double check everything i've learned with even less variables than now. I'll just pick another razor, getting bored of the Merkur. Three more shaves to go with it

That shave was probably 10x better still than what I used to get with carts Dale. I always had to carry one in the truck for touchups . Hope your day gets better! Nice shave Clint! I find a gallon of coffee stops my feet from dragging on those days.
The Jayaruh#59 set up my face and neck for a fine shave this morning-spreading Stoylin Ramblin Man all around. While there's no question about the great performance you get from a Stoylin shave and aftershave, I'm afraid this isn't one of their better scents(to my nose, anyway). But it's OK..This was PIFed to me, but I'm not sure I'd have chosen it on my own.

October 15 SOTD: Razor: Gillette '37 Aristocrat Blade: Astra SP Brush: PAA Starcraft Lather: MWF Aftershave: PAA Captain Smythe's Reserve Two passes and near BBS. The Fat was awesome, as usual. A little leather enhanced Bay Rum capped a great shave this morning. I hope everyone has a great day!
