I liked the shave although I liked the #54 better. The #34 is a little lighter and I found it a little difficult to find the proper shaving angle. My first pass WTG was smooth with no blade feel, and not very efficient and it left me with more stubble than I'm used to, <DFS. The second pass, XTG and again was a very smooth pass with absolutely no blade feel and DFS+. I don't and I'm not chasing BBS so I didn't feel I needed to do another pass. The MWF lather was very good on the first pass and perfect for the second pass - I didn't do anything, it just sat in my scuttle. I got a 2 pass, nick and weeper free shave. The alum was silent, even on my neck area which is unusual. I finished off with the Epsilon Blue A/S.

Overall, a really good shave. I have a few more French razors for my next few shaves.

Glad I got a smooth irritation free shave this morning. Re-org at work... I am a service operations manager today. After the reorg I will be leading a team called Center of Excellence in Operations. The teams charter will be to provide standard tools and best practices for other operations teams. Not sure I deserve to lead the experts of experts, but I'll be working with some of the most talented people in the company. I'm excited and terrified.

Pinaud Special Reserve AS
Not pictured, but enjoyed - Stirling Mentholated preshave soap. The bar has stuck to the top of the air tight container making a functional handle for rubbing the soap on my water splashed stubble. Out of curiosity I tried lathering with a damp brush. Success! I can use half the amount of PSS, too. Whipped up The Fat easily with the APShaveCo knot & applied it directly over the Stirling. With no blade in the 3pc OC, I had to make a choice. Our Cartel Leader has asked to have these particular blades sent to headquarters for disposal. Soon as I dull up the working edges I'll get right on that. I did get a comfy three pass with no damage despite The Pravda about those blades. The alum doesn't lie. Splash of the Indiana Jones cologne right before I got out for a short drive. Wouldn't you know that pesky antique store had an old razor that needed me to adopt it? Get a pre & post clean up photo to share between after school chauffeur duties.
