    Cold Water Rinse
    Morning TOST Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #340 Badger
    GEM Micromatic Flying Wing
    CVS CS SE
    CWR
    Dove MEN +CARE AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Morning TOST Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 Badger Brush. I did one pass and a cleanup with the GEM Micromatic Flying Wing razor with a CVS CS SE Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dove MEN +CARE AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Friday OCtober 18

This is a slightly smaller and lighter Leresche #34 model than the Leresche #54 I used earlier in the week. The comb length seems to be slightly shorter on this razor than on the #54. I didn't measure, I will later, it is just my impression on use.

    Bowl/Scuttle - GP12
    Soap - MWF (it's Friday)
Brush - M&F Stubby, Finest Badger, Cobalt 30mm
    Blade - Gillette Platinum (4)
    Razor - Leresche #34 (France)
Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Epsilon Blue A/S (Spain)

    Shave rating 5 of 5

I liked the shave although I liked the #54 better. The #34 is a little lighter and I found it a little difficult to find the proper shaving angle. My first pass WTG was smooth with no blade feel, and not very efficient and it left me with more stubble than I'm used to, <DFS. The second pass, XTG and again was a very smooth pass with absolutely no blade feel and DFS+. I don't and I'm not chasing BBS so I didn't feel I needed to do another pass. The MWF lather was very good on the first pass and perfect for the second pass - I didn't do anything, it just sat in my scuttle. I got a 2 pass, nick and weeper free shave. The alum was silent, even on my neck area which is unusual. I finished off with the Epsilon Blue A/S.

Overall, a really good shave. I have a few more French razors for my next few shaves.

Happy OCtober and great shaves everyone.

EEF58E11-354E-4CF1-A4C2-947DA4B1BE94.jpeg I know it’s Fall but the sun is shining here and so I wanted something with a Citrus kick to it so Stirling Satsuma it is! Fresh citrusy goodness with a bit of spice in there. Another “jam-the-beak-in-tub” worthy scent!

Today’s razor, the mighty Merkur 37C loaded up with a Voskhod. As of late most slant shaves have been with the iKon X3 which has become my favourite among slants! Not today. Great razor and blade combo for me.

Through a lovely two pass DFS/BBS and topped it all off with Acqua di Parma Colonia! On to the weekend we go!

    Friday SOTD

I just received three soaps and a matching Gunpowder Spice AS from @tyoung yesterday / and my black TNNSER arrived from @Jayaruh today. Shaving awesomeness occurred... I even had JR #28 involved . I think I'm doing a repeat tomorrow. Happy weekend all.

Wonderful shave today, from one of my favorite brands. It is a Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed razor. I had a super smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. Wonderful blade, but it has a wicked spiked tip, that requires a lot of concentration. I think this one might get a scale swap, if I can find a nice C-Mon donor. These scales are cheap plastic. C-Mon either put some of the most beautiful scales on their blades, or the most plain. But, the blades are always top notch.

Razor- C-Mon, Carl Monkhouse. Ellicottville NY.
Soap- More For You, from Turkey.
Brush- JR#262. Ebony/Birdseye Maple. Silvertip Badger
Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Willy's Jeep decanter
