    Razor: G. Tech
    Blade: Boots
    Brush: Yaqi
    Soap: Williams

Williams should be 1st on any :whacky024: shopping list. It is a great soap to show that good soap doesn't have to be expensive and that proper preperation is the key to great lather. Williams is easy in this regard. Don't drown it and make sure you load well and hydrate well. Do that (as you should with any puck of soap) and you will be golden.
I think Gillette of old would have re-issued a late 50's/early 60's Tech like this no-diamond one i have, instead of the EJ mockery due in Nov. These Techs are fantastic and do everything just right. Perhaps the English #24 which was superbly crafted and designed and had a great travel case to boot. The ultimate in utilitarian and practical design which Gillette of old was all about (when not showing off with the Aristocrats). Certainly, the #24 is a design classic amongst safety razors and off course, includes Gillette's revolutionary TECHnology.

The Williams was indeed a treat today and a great match for the workmanlike Gillette and Yaqi brush. Tools to get the job done with no drama. All three can shame some much more expensive gear i have.

    7/5.

    Shave-on!

Thank you very much - greatly appreciate it!
    :thanks:

For all my pics: I put the gear onto my wife's artwork (often only on a small portion of it), take a of shot with my phone camera and just do a very basic pass through software (resize, white balance, sharpen, add a frame).

Thanks, Tommy. I had the Ouroboros and besides the scent (straight Nag Champa) being so overwhelming (not in a good way), the softish croap had granules (saponification issue). I returned it and was given a full refund. The packaging is interesting, but I don't want to get burned again.

Apparently I had an excellent start to the day ...
Upon awakening, the darkness did not allow me to see that I was immersed in a beautiful autumn haze.

This meteorological implication has overturned my options, chosen before seeing what the weather was like.
So I tacked on a qualitatively great and fragrantly fascinating soap that seems to me made for fall days: fanè scents, even more suitable than a vetiver or a Floris # 89.
    Simply perfect!

But it is not a latherer I would use every day: I like to use it occasionally to stigmatize a splendid way of feeling.
    A celebration?
I don't know and, in any case, it would be sterile to find its logical motivation.

The razor was chosen on the same basis: unfortunately it is a modern machine, but I find it elegant. Its head is not the best one I have, but definitely in the top ten. Maybe even seven ...

Fortunately, I remembered to cork the Feather, and this allowed me to use this blade very pleasantly: I felt it without feeling it.
    I can't explain this: I'm not John Steinbeck ...

The redundant knot of this Silvertip has created a compact and soft lather: well clinging to the skin and slippery it allowed the razor evolutions to make Peggy Fleming envious, with the same nonchalance of an Olympic replica after winning the title!

Edt... here there would be perfectly a Penhaligon's: the Sartorial. But I'm not economically available to invest!
But Accidia also has mimetic characteristics: it manages to go interact rather than interfere with many different fragrances.

And, to top it off, I discovered a Glenn Miller box set that I had forgotten to own.
With a practically perfect shave, what could be better to combine, in corn land, if not the notes of the most famous ... Miller?

PS: since from life you can't have everything (non-rumor, but personal experience!), Here is my photo!
