3 pass DFS+. PAA's Tube 2.0...hadn't mentioned much about....it's a charcoal based preshave, in an oversized black tube (think hulk size lip balm). Very dense, almost seems milled, should last a long time. Goes on the growth dark grey. Used the Heritage Collections w/boar to scrub in, and it creates a thin lather that's very slick. Warm rinse of face and brush...onto a second great lather with PAA's CK6 formula. Hoshi Tombo went through the new progression of pasted strops then linen/leather. Scary sharp this morning, felt like a new Feather blade in my Artist Club DX handle! Fun blade to shave with, great feel in the hand while maneuvering. Had a couple of set down weepers, but no distraction from a great Wednesday shave. Finished with PAA's matching aftershave/cologne, a copy blend, hence the Doppelgänger designation. This fragrance of PAA is a little subdued, a departure from their normal style.....even after dry down, this aroma lasts for hours and hours. It is Top 5 Wifey Approved.

Looking forward to the next few days....been precipitating off and on since early Monday. Cold, wet....can't wait for cold and DRY.

Good evening, gents!
I couldn't resist the Tabac. And i'm quite happy with it! Nice thick and slick lather. I added more water for the second pass, and it got only better. I might use it through next month, i'll decide tomorrow.
The once used Treet wasn't the best match for my Tech, but with a little work i got where i wanted to, quite comfortably. No irritation at all.

I'm afraid that I need to stick to Medium for now.....I'll miss Peet's. Starbux, too. I'm delighted that Max House and Folger's brands (some of them)come in the medium persuasion(House Blend, Columbian).

Thank you, Gary! It was the first lavender soap that I bought. It has a smoky scent with a touch of sweetness. At first, I didn't like it, but it has grown on me. Although this company is still in business, it doesn't make shaving soap anymore. I snapped up 2 pucks and 2 aftershaves for a great deal!
