1. A quick sub post of the 30DC thread for the lathering of MWF with a synthetic brush and no blooming.

    Soap
    : Mitchell's Wool Fat Puck
    Brush: Yaqi Synthetic
    Bowl: Soup

    1) Dry brush and soap puck:

    2) Dip brush fully into water and then flick hard. The brush should be barely damp:

    3) Go to puck and load brush. Use consistent circular movement, do not mash the brush, do not agitate the proto lather:

    4) Dip tips of brush in water at intervals and continue to load

    5) If needed, transfer lather mid-loading to either face or bowl:

    6) Continue loading as per above

    7) Once finished loading, lather up (on face or in bowl) using water to desired consistency:

    YMMV, AYOR, IMHO, LOL, etc.

  3. I basically do the same. But I just do it in it's container.

I've inadvertently done a similar procedure. Thank you Jon for documenting your process!

  6. This will be the exact challenge I'll face with my next soap shave-pancake of soap and a not-too-strong brush. Won't be into a bowl, though...puck w/lid. Your "do not mash the brush" is what I'll focus on most of all.
