    SOTD October 31, 2019

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: Trac II
    Razor: Surrey Trac II
    Brush: Surrey badger
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine L'Orange Noir aftershave

What a month! This week has flown by and October has as well. The Fat was terrific throughout. I decided to bookend my last shave by repeating the shave from the first of the month. Recycled photo and everything! The Trac II razor behaved quite well. Nice shave all around. I'll continue with The Fat tomorrow since it's Fat Friday.

Wilson will trick or treat tonight dressed at Buzz Lightyear. I will go as Woody. Can't wait! This is one of the highlights of the kid year - Halloween and Christmas!

    Enjoy your day!

Love it! Atomic Pumpkin...how is it? I was just waiting...artwork is awesome. Saw a couple on IG, but was hoping there'd be an awesome image of it....Done. Great image and shave Jim!

Very nice Terry! You forgot the coffee....but don't worry, I've already had plenty, it's 30 here in DFW (which is cold for our neck of the woods...um....correction concrete suburbia)!

Yes, very easy to clean! Great for camping....

Yeah, we need pictures or it didn't happen Perry! Sounds like fun. Enjoy. We did a family dress up when the girls were in middle school. Wifey and I were chaperones. Fun time!

Oh...shave...yeah, that was a nice one!

This. I carry a keychain one, Fenix E05. Takes a single AAA battery, but on the lowest 8lm setting it will work for 14 hours or something like that. 85lm max if i remember correctly, newer models are more powerful but this has been perfect for my needs. I do have other flashlights too, but this is the one i carry all the time.

Atomic Pumpkin is terrific! If you're a fan of Bay Rum and pumpkin pie you'll love it. The pumpkin spice scents don't last long but I catch whiffs of the bay rum for several hours.

Made it. The entire month with "The Fat". No other soap graced my kisser.
    Let it be known
that when Primo is focussed...uh...mmmm....what were we talking about :signs002:

    Oh yeah...Primo is focussed.
Lovely lather lovingly languishes on the Emperor.
Through and through a premium product.

While I didn't finish the focus with an OC, I used the next best thing: 2011 R41.
Once again, I called upon the Light Brigade to attack from the north, south, east and west.
No casualties of war and the battlefield was devoid of blood. A "bloodless" coup d'état, you could say.
The not-pictured post-shave product was Derby City Chop Shop's Winter Reserve.

It has been a fun month of shaving and antics.
I am looking forward to NOVember and more shaving thrills.

Yeah, you need to be careful. It does happen. Here's the LINK to the blades. He has many varieties of blades. Make sure you select the Coated (PTFE) Stainless blades. Unfortunately, they are in bulk, but you'll never have to buy blades again for years. I'm still working off a pack from several years ago.

    Enjoy your shaves,

    Jeff

Thanks, guys. I decided to use the Treet, because the razor came with carbon steel blades. Wasn't brave enough to use one of the two that came with the razor, but i decided that a treet on it's second use would be the second best or worst thing to it.

Alexander Dale 10312019.gif I think Aussies wrassel crocs? He'll be over trained when he visits here in Louisiana! When the time comes I'll sneak him a forbidden copy of that one episode of Peppa Pig. There's one about Spiders being our friends. Maybe in Great Brittan where the show originates, but not Down Under.
Thanks for the well wishes. Same for you and yours. Take care!
Thank you 30 DC! The shave was fun, but the new family member is Top Shelf.

I promised to take todays SOTD-pic with a potato, soo..
    Photo0202.jpg
Too close to focus, and i couldn't find the "macro"-lens, so it was really bad.
But i snapped this one last night
    DSC_0630.JPG
Which one is better? Wait, what..
But yeah, another shave with the Tabac stick, and it was a decent one. No irritation or issues like that, but there just wasn't enough soap on the brush for the second pass, so i had to rub the stick to my face and lather up again. I think i'll use my synthetic next month. The ASB is a bit too light for winter use so i'll probably switch to Nivea.

    Have a nice day!
