Thank you, Paul! She won't be able to wrap her arms around the babies for awhile, so the blankets will have to do. We both miss being with our sweet kids at the hospital, and we hope it's temporary. Are you back up to 100% following your hospital stay? How are the repairs coming along at your apartment? Have a great day, my friend.
10/31/19 Supply Co V2 Personna Brad Sears Disco SV Manna di Sicilia Soap & Aftershave A great shave to end the month. Everything just worked well together to deliver a BBS shave. I can safely say I’m going to love using this brush. I hope everyone has a great day and Happy Halloween I’ve really enjoyed this month. I didn’t stick with open comb razors for the entire month. I had several new razors arrive that I just had to try. I also added some new brushes to the den. Unfortunately I was not able to finish any soaps or creams. Maybe next month. As always the best part of the month was following along and interacting with you guys on the thread. I look forward to participating next month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks for Jack ). As for the hospital stay, I think things are improving. I'm most definitely drinking more water(and other liquids, except for the sugary junk) than before. No doubt about it for the rest of my life , it's become easy for me to get dehydrated-two ER stays(plus being admitted to the hospital after the second)taught me THAT. The invention of "G-Zero"(sugarless Gatorade)is fantastic. As for apartment repairs, the crew comes in next Monday around 9. I'm told I don't have to be here for it, which is good anyway, as they'll shut off the building water while they do the work. Maaaaan, I'd love an all-glass walk-in shower, but I'm sure pigs will have to fly before that happens. Also, my bathroom is too-small for it. And as for the parking lot paving, they weren't here yesterday, but they're back today and have begun to lay down the new pavement. It's raining, which they must hate, but can it work just as well in the rain???
Another fine Throwback Thursday shave. But y'know, I think it's been unseasonably warm for the last 4 or 5 Thursdays. That's why my A.S. hoice has been Mennen Skin-Bracer. I'm overly eager to put different shave combinations in for future Throwback Thursdays, such as Clubman, Stephan(BR), Leather, the TSD Bay Rum(still a lot of that left),etc. But again, a pleasant shave. No cuts or nicks from the disposeABLE with the Gillette Foamy.
Joe, I'm glad you gave me a like, with the mention of H20 and Electrolyes, we're talkin Chemistry, eh?
Yep. He lives closest to the date line so he's usually the first one in. I think he chose South Korea for that reason.
I like it. By the way, do you know what House Bolton's words are? I mean, everyone knows House Stark is "Winter is Coming". The Lannister's - "Hear Me Roar". The Greyjoy's - "We Do Not Sow". But the Bolton words are a bit more obscure. Very fitting for this thread, however. House Bolton - "Our Blades are Sharp". Of course, being a house that loves to flay people alive that fits them as well.
Oct 31st Proraso PS - Red Proraso Single Blade SC - Wood & Spice OneBlade Synthetic Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus Steel - Green Kirinite Proraso ASB/Cologne - Wood & Spice @Keithmax Enablement purchase. First bought a Drew Dick razor from Keith back in June....love it so much had to get it a parent . Saw this beauty cross another forum in the BST section, couldn't pass it up. 2.5 pass BBS. Yes, BBS. Wifey verified. To start, I gave 'Frigga' 5 light laps on CrOx linen, then another 5 very light laps on bridle leather. This beauty honored me with a DFS on the first pass, still a little dreamy eyed bewildered about it. Went for another XTG pass everywhere, then only buffing on the lower right neck/jawline. Wow. Just wow. Very very smooth and sharp edge from this Damascus steel. Being a half hollow, smiling blade, she isn't very audible at all (mostly the first pass). Really doesn't feel like Frigga's doing much work...but that's misguided judgment. Big blade (actually measures 8/8, but the box labeled at 7/8), hefty girl, but still very nimble. Left handed shaving took a LOT of concentration as the width blocks the normal view for some areas. No shenanigans from this girl, just a graceful blissful shave! Software was all Proraso....Single Blade professional line. Impossible to get an image of the SC, as it's delivered in a BAG with a dispenser (for barbers). Quickly transferred the contents to sealable containers. The OneBlade synthetic brush made an awesome & predictably slick Proraso quality lather, wonderful aroma....my nose smells Cedar/Sandalwood, Pepper, with a very light powder. Hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday! Happy Halloween!
