I understand. Personally, I am doing this for a number of reasons. First, I only have 2 shaves since I honed this razor and want to see how my stropping and the razor holds up. Second, I want to see if I can do it. Third, I believe that a 30 DC member should do a rule and I haven't done one yet. Fourth, It will be great to finish this challenge close to my TSD/ 30DC anniversary next month.
I've gone months with the same gear. I am going on 6 years of the same two brushes. It is just business as usual for me this month. IMO The king of no variation at least with the razor is Jeff @stingraysrock. He has been using the same R41 2011 for the last 7-8 years would be my guess. Not sure if there is an occasional variation, but he knows what he likes and uses it.
In for a NO repeat NOvember for razors only. I don’t have enough software or brushes to do a complete no-repeat for the month. - Ken
I’m in. I’m going to do a no gillette razors for the month. I’ve pulled 12 to rotate. No repeat on the soaps and cream, after shave and balm. Don’t have enough brushes. Looking forward to using my Red Ring, Krona, Seagal, and my Barbasol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dale, whatever floats your boat is fine by me. Some people are minimalists and others are not. Personally I have enough soap, aftershaves, DE blades, safety and straight razors to keep me satisfied. I only have 2 things left on my wishlist. I would like to get a custom straight and a 14 N Filarmonica Novodur. Unfortunately, the prices of Filly's are ridiculous and a new custom straight is too expensive for me at this time. The good thing is that I am fine whether I acquire these items or not. Thankfully, they are not on my must have list.

Steve used to say, it is your shave enjoy it your way. Things definitely change over time. There is the new exciting discovery phase where I had to try everything to which I settled into a few preferred razors. Then after learning to shave, I discovered that it really didn't matter much which razor you used. Once you learn to use it, the shaves are as good as anything else. A custom straight would be super nice for pride of ownership if you run into one you like for the right price. The way you are with straights is how I am with bicycles. I would love a custom hand built one to my specs, but that is a lot of money and I am happy with what I have.
