That looks like the way I injured my shoulder. Should’ve held my paddle on the deck. On the shaving front: I gave this Bismarck the full diamond-pasted balsa strop progression, but it really needs some finish honing. Someday soon...
First straight shave in 10 weeks. I’ve been traveling and enjoying a Schick E2 throughout that time. Waiting for my return was a minty Engels Leader I won just before leaving. @gssixgun did the honing and it was ready to go. It’s a beaut and I got a really nice shave but not as nice as I hoped for. I think I need a little more time with it. Hot water preparation Argan oil PSO Barrister Reserve Lavender Saville Row 3824 F. W. Engels 13/16 Leader Thayer Rose Petal Witch Hazel Bonus material! Got a shot of this WWI government issued razor for Scottish troops on display at Edinburgh Castle. ...and undoubtedly the oldest razor I’ve ever seen (nearly 3,000 years old). This was from the London Museum And rarest of all a shot of me and @Billyfergie together in Glasgow

Rasurpur western grind. I gave this razor the @Chuck Naill treatment. After the stones it went through a pasted diamond progression to 100k.
Awesome shave and post Karl! Halloween night required a little Battle Axe action... Wade & Butcher style. Happy Halloween & Enjoy your shave. Tom

NOS 5/8+ General Towa Japanese Straight . Had a fantastic shave with this blade .What impressed me about the blade was the quality of the steel and grind .The factory honing was top notch .After apox. 70 years in the box I just stropped the razor 100 laps .Edge performance was excellent .
I think mine would lose in a battle That artisan collaboration is just cool. Thank you. I obviously wish the old blade was intact but the heel crack forced my hand. So, I decided to have a little fun with it. Tom
Great job with the restoration came out awesome! And a great way to salvage that razor! Gave it a lot of style I love it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is there anything better than a red-scaled Tanifuji? Why, yes there is.... One of a pair of Tanifuji 13/16 Spaldings, soap was MdC rose lathered with a TOBS Super, and a splash of Myrsol Plastic Shave made me smooth and ready for the day.
