FYI: I sent Stan (Above the Tie) a thank you note regarding my recent acquisition of a Copper Windsor. Matt at ATT was nice enough to answer and advised that Stan retired earlier this year. Matt also advised that an OC Windsor was in the works (Satin and Polished Stainless) and close to being released. He also stated that the Stainless (regular) Windsor would still be produced for the "foreseeable future".

Coate’s Lime Cream today. 20 seconds to load the Wild West Brushworks/Elite Razor Manchurian White Badger brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Voskhod in the Maggard V2 Open Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Shulton Old Spice aftershave.

    Menthol Monday:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/new 7 AM
    Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill SS
    Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill ASB
    B&M Arctique AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

After this menthol bombardment I think my face is going to need the whole day to thaw out but what a great shave I had - three glorious passes with a brand new 7 AM blade and I’m totally BBS!

    Have a nice week![IMG]

This #59 is indeed a very special razor. Fantastic build and finish and a great, great shave. Paired with the 7's blade, i had a super duper shave today.
Menthol Monday so out with the Proraso which is very like the Razor, Utilitarian but perfectly designed and executed. All three together were a symphony of shaving delight.
The only downer to this would be the brush. A little too basic and not anywhere nr as good a fit and finish as the other products.

    Shave on!

    Tabac AS Balm

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #292 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Very smooth and comfortable shave and my face is happy. And why is the Florida Water labeled a cologne when it barely lasts as long as a good A/S? Now go enjoy your day folks

Thanks, Jeff, but your shave today is definitely chillier than mine. Alpine snowdrift just has a touch of menthol but it is the overall aroma on this one that I like.

A beautiful start of the day in the mist, ready for a shave designed to evaluate a new aftershave balm.
This is why I used a soap which I love but which offers a very poor post shave.
The balm turned out to be just barely decent: neither the alcoholic kick, nor the creamy pleasure of the aftershaves I am used to.

But a great shave all in all...
