Second go round with the Schick blade, much better shave than the first one with this blade. All the weepers on the first shave were due to the blade needing to be broken in. I have to say this razor is the first injector I've used that really is blade dependent on how well it shaves. The Personna or Schick II twin blades the shave was okay but paired with a sharp blade like the Chinese Schick this razor really does perform well once the blade is broken in. This is the only blade that I've gotten a BBS finish with this razor so far for both shaves. I also said this razor reminds me of a G1 the way it shaves well that opinion stands as long as you are using a Schick blade in it. If not then it is more like a N1 instead with a less sharp blade like the Personna. I am going to try this razor with a Schick Proline B-20 blade next and see how that stacks up.

    Ever Ready 1912-Bathroom Set
    Gem S/S [ 2 ]
    Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

A benefit of bing retired is not having to rush a Shave, a bonus when changing Razor rotations. Am now on to an ER/Gem rotation but will cut down on the use of them, and will not use those that do not deliver the best Shaves for me. I have started off with one of the later 1912s [ 50s I think], which really delivers a very smooth Shave, and as I was in no rush an excellent close all round finish.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Williams Mug Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #292
    Ever-Ready Lather Catcher
    CVS CS SE
    CWR
    Granddad's Blend AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #292 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This blade was a bit of a surprise, considering how smooth it normally is in other razors. It was a harsh but bloodless shave wirh a BBS finish. This blade is about as sharp as the Chinese shick blades something you wouldn't be able to discern on most other injectors or at least I wouldn't with the ones I've used so far. I need to try both these blades in the Supply V2 on the 2 dot plate to see if that plate is blade dependent also, the 3 dot plate I know isn't if I can get a BBS shave out of it with a Personna blade.
