Brass is tough to paint. You need an etching/bonding primer. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rust-Ole...xgJnVt7cXs5MNIj3VaKmVDFPqQkIWDIkaAtR6EALw_wcB
Nov 6th Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements PS - Tube 2.0 Castle Forbes SC - 1445 Heritage Collection CMON 77-4 w/Zenith Boar Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus Steel - Green Kirinite Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements ASB - Mysterium Serum Hugo Boss - The Scent for Him Started off scrubbing the face ATG with the Tube 2.0, then added water to the CMON, where a very nice face lather ensued. Usually I scrub in the Tube with tips of fingers/fingernails...first pass with the PS completely very nicely. Might do that more often! Rinsed and moved to the CF with the CMON, another face lather along with a focused XTG pass (downward ears toward middle). Last half pass was neck only, light ATG buffing. Finished up with the PAA ASB, followed with HB's 'The Scent'. Ready for a dreary Wednesday! Overcast and drizzly for almost 48 hours now.....I don't remember moving to Seattle.... Hope everyone has a great day!
November 6, 2019 Tatara Masamune SB Feather Shavemac ATG LE with D01 2 Band Savonniere du Moulin Fine Fresh Vetiver Aftershave Guerlain Vetiver EdT Up and moving this morning. I guess that is an accomplishment some days. I kept the Feather blade from the last two days but switched back to the Masamune razor head. Its smaller gap was a felt smoother with the feather than the Nodachi head. Three passes, touch ups and buffing caught the baby with ease. Of course a much slicker soap certainly helped the effort. A splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver followed by a spritz of Guerlain Vetiver EdT and I am out the door. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
Very good shave this morning-again with Stoylin Baker St. soap&A.S. Got another nick, but smaller than the one yesterday, and on my neck this time. I shook off enough water from the brush that I was able to get my face and neck more "soapy" than yesterday. I got to thnking "Well, I splash my face and neck with water anyway, to get things going, therefore too much left on the brush would be just that.....too much water". That being said, I never shave with a 100% dry brush. But I'd rather not "overdo" it with the water. Yet I'm still a Bloomer.....Ready to go for Hump Day.
Thanks Clint! I started at around 530 post behind yesterday. Got to my Tuesday's shave, about 350 left last night. Now this morning, I'm only about 450 behind. Keeping up is quite a challenge! tp
