I have the parts I am mixing and matching the various Tatara parts. Since you can order the parts mix and match, I thought this would give me some insight should someone ask. I absolutely love the Tatara razors. It is like a readily available Wolfman. Not sure if the formula changed overtime or not. However, I don't think so. All mine are recent batches. If you see them in plastic containers, the Mike soaps are very recent production.

Early morning shave, just getting to post. Jason's craftsmanship w/Omega 10098 tranplant....performed nicely. Rewarded with typical Stirling lather, slick and fragrant BoS. 2.5 pass DFS+, no drama, no weepers. Next up was PAA's Mysterium Serum (unscented). I had planned on using the Stirling BoS AS together with the BoS SS, but wifey surprised me last night with the Versace. It's a very nice EdT, however it fades quickly for me....from their website, 'The oriental aromatic scent combines notes of juniper, tarragon, ambered lily, iris and finishes with amber and tobacco flower'.

Testing out some new video and photography equipment.....product catalog/web image style today.

Also a working weekend....I'll be reading along mostly....back Monday.

SOTD Nostalgic November 8th


Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
Schick Injector Type F
Chinese Schick Injector blades (3)
BRM Boar (24mm, Frigate Class)
B&M Eventide soap
PAA Strange Island AS
Dry Dock lather bowl

Wonderful shave this morning. Went with the B&M Eventide soap which is a wonderful Oud forward scent with supporting notes of lime, raspberry, and rose that add a tangy sweet element to it. Lots of soap was picked up by the stiff little boar knot and was transformed into a shiny, gloppy, and creamy lather in the Dry Dock lather bowl. Painted on the lather and OMG what an amazing scent creation. Three passes with the Type F and the baby was in hand. I finished with a very light application (2 drops of AS on wet hands) of PAA Strange Island AS. This is the only woodsy forward AS I have and it is strong! Is kinda had that bay rum antiseptic quality to it but with a strong balsam and cedar presence. I can still smell the AS almost 6 hours later, and I only used two drops of it! Have a great weekend my friends!
