I used Ozark Mountain soap and A/S last night. Amazing scent and now that I'm figuring the lathering out, the soap is probably gonna be my new go to. Maybe not this scent but Stirling because they are in my part of the country, Vet owned and seem to be just good people. Texas On Fire and Black Cherry are my next 2 shaves then I'll be ordering 2 full size sets maybe 3 and another round of samples.

That was one "benefit" of my Men's Health Magazine subscription. Why go to a department store for a sample whiff of a fragrance when you can whiff it right from the magazine? :).

By the way-I don't subscribe to M.H. anymore-I think it is meant for men younger than I am now.

Does that mean you'll be heading to the department stores for your fragrance whiffs?

Today is a day home with the family. I chose not to shave this morning, but realized there was nothing preventing me from applying a little Haverford. Now I smell extra awesome on my day off.

Well, I can "steal" some whiffs at the gym where I work out....there are MH mags there. That's good enough.

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: Superior Lather Catcher SE
    Brush: JR #41 badger
    Soap: Stirling Gentleman
Post: Witch hazel, Wet Shaving Products Tobacco aftershave

Not a good shave, but it wasn't the soap's fault. Other factors were to blame. This was my second use of Gentleman and I can start to see why this scent is so alluring. More of the sweetness came out today in comparison to the first use. Interesting scent, for sure. The lather was wonderful as usual.

It slipped by me the first go round, so I’ll have to buy some too........if it makes a second appearance. A full size tub would be nice too while I’m dreaming.

I used the Texas On Fire tonight and was completely satisfied with the soap, the lather, the scent and how my face felt after. I was kinda worried about how it would smell after I tried just a little of the splash when I first got it. I was either 100% wrong in my initial impression or it grows on ya. It reminds me of the main street at Silver Dollar City. With the smokey blacksmith shops and all the other places that burn wood or coal for their crafts. Guess ya just have to walk main street to get it. All that said, I like it and it'll be on the full size order.

Indeed. I’ve gone the last few days without shaving, but still dabbed on a little Gentleman today while doing house and yard chores. No reason to smell less than my best while working.
