Not a good shave. At all. I had high hopes for a relaxing, comfortable shave, but I immediately had to switch GEM blades as the first one was toast. The new blade perhaps isn't a good one from the batch. Not sure, but five or six weepers later (all concentrated in one area of the left chin and jaw) and I called it quits. Lower right neck was on fire. Just not a pleasant shave.
At least the WSP Tobacco smells terrific and the Stirling Gentleman offered a compelling scent profile along with slick, shiny lather. Anyway, I'll likely not shave tomorrow as customary and give the mug a rest. Bad shaves help you appreciate the standard, run-of-the-mill, no drama shaves.
Our team lost last night in the playoffs, so the season is done. I'm proud of the players for a great season after a terrible 2-8 campaign last year. With the end of football comes the official end of marching season. That's always a big sigh moment for me as you put so many thousands of hours into planning (you start planning for the summer in January) and rehearsals and games and trips. It's quite a physical and emotional journey. Trying to wrangle 150 teenagers to do anything is an emotional journey, right?!? Not sad for it to end, honestly, because of its toll, but so much work goes into it and time goes so quickly. In any case, I plan to sit back and watch football today with cold adult beverages. Roll Tide!!
