Welcome to winter! About an inch of snow down, lots of wrecks everywhere you look and the current temperature is 18 F. Not the low yet. Considering we were at 69 yesterday, not a bad drop, right? It's Menthol Monday so why not add some more icyness to the day, right?
After
@Hembree did his best to bait me into buying a new pain stick earlier (he succeeded but I'm not admitting it yet) I decided it was time to pick up a pain stick for tonight's shave. I chose the Feather SS. Great quality, just has that little lip they put on to make it "safer". I chose the Feather Pro blade which is my usual choice for a painer. Menthol Monday demands menthol so let's use the Stirling Iced Coffee. Love, love love the scent and the lather is pure Stirling. Pair that with the JR54 and there's enough slick and thick lather to share with everyone.
Why I'm not bleeding right now I'm unsure of. Right side went well on the first pass. Left side started with the tip of the blade cutting the top of my ear right where it connects to my head. I felt it, cussed it, and just continued waiting for the blood flow. Nothing. I finished that pass and still had no blood. Checked on it and found a very small slice, but no blood. Either there are no capillaries there, or the pressure of the fold it's in sealed it, or I have lost blood supply to my head. Take your pick. Anyway, I went for the second pass and did some touch up and have a very fine DFS shave as a result. A bit of bite from the alum on my neck and definitely on the little cut when I put a little on there. The shave itself, though, was definitely top shelf.
Hope you are warm and dry where you are. Tuesday is up next and I think our high tomorrow is a warm and balmy 26 F or something like that. Mmmmm, mmmm, good.
