Hope you back feels better soon, Clint. Bay Rum rubbed vigorously into your back muscles won't necessarily help, but it sure will smell good.
NOvember MWF~~Rubberset 400/3~~Feather ACS-RSW SS~~Feather Super Professional~~Derby City New background! Same shave... Honestly, what these past 6 weeks have taught me is that I have spent a ridiculously large amount of money on shave gear for almost no reason at all. I am getting fantastic shaves with these products. Yes, I am swapping the razors, but in reality, that's not even necessary. I got caught up in the shaving frenzy, like so many others. I am thinking of starting a support group: SA. Do the math. 3" of snow and 9˚F. -13˚C Cue music: Baby it's cold outside.
11/12/19 Oneblade Synthetic Shaving Brush Salsa Bowl Mike’s Natural Soaps – Wild Honeysuckle Oneblade Core Razor Feather Single Edge Blade Clubman Classic Second run with the Core and I have to admit that this one was better than the first. It is a razor that will just take a while to get the hang of but it is not a bad razor. Clint @clint64 sent me the Mike’s Natural Soap a while back. I stuck it on the shelf and for some reason had forgot about it. Let’s just say they missed the mark on the scent but the lather is top notch. Very slick, great cushion and glossy. I should have been using this soap before now. The soap also has a great residual slickness. Thanks Clint! Finished it off with some Clubman and I am ready for the day. Low tonight in Alabama is 21 degrees. For us Alabama boys that is cold! Y'all take care and have a great day.
Terrific picture, Joseph! I had the same thoughts when using the Tabac this morning. A guy could do a lot worse. If there just weren't so many great scents out there.
NOvember 12th Canadian NEW LC Omega Pro/ Poculi First Canadian Maximo Gomez Thayers Chatillon Lux Bon Vivant AS A very good 3 pass ‘Tobacco Tuesday’ shave this morning. Whipped up a fantastic lather with this never-ending soap (seriously, I am perpetually 4-6 shaves from being done...) and the LC performed like it always does. The Bon Vivant isn’t necessarily my fave CL scent, but ‘tis still very good stink. Have a great day all!
Terrific gear and shave, Joseph! We should be grateful that we don't have expensive hobbies like vintage cars, etc
Superb shave, Danny! It seems Alabama is getting kissed by the old Nortth Wind. It will be Long Island's turn later this afternoon.
My shave this morning might well have been better. The "Celtics Mascot" brush didn't load with the strength I wanted. That led to one of my "Man, I need that second pass!" shaves. A couple weepers along the chin, both on the first pass which upsets me because the balance of the shave is done with the weepers looking right at me. The Stoylin itself was great-such a fragrance is that Sandpiper! Another solid neck "job", which is good news, of course. The Celtics Mascot brush is the weakest of my lineup. Weak doesn't mean "lousy" of course, but I do prefer the other ones.
Sorry about the weeps, but it sounds like you had a good shave, Paul. Awhile back, Andrew piffed me a sample of the Sandpiper soap. Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the scent.
Joe, it can be surprising that some of the popular cologne dupes don't fit well with members. Actually, I'm the same way with Xecutive Man-not too impressed. But Sandpiper BECAME me.
Nov 12th Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements PS - Tube 2.0 Fine SS - Fresh Vetiver Zenith Boar Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus Steel - Green Kirinite Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements ASB - Mysterium Serum Art of Shaving - Vetiver Citron Stil continuing 'No Repeat' software but a 'No Variation' on the razor. 11 shaves now using the Drew Dick. 2.5 easy passes to a DFS+. Fine soap, for me requires a good bit of brush loading, more than I'm used to compared to other manufacturers/artisans. However, not a problem, adjusted....and the well broken in Zenith boar whipped up a very nice thick lather, slick with a great aroma. Painted on, and had a fun shave swiping it off this morning. No shenanigans or weepers. Finished with the Mysterium Serum, followed with a citrusy Vetiver from AoS. Smooth and ready for a very cold Tuesday! It's 23 this morning...'feels like' says 15. The best part....no snow or ice, cause that's a really bad combination (for driving) in our world of DFW concrete. All these awesome B&W images lately...had to join in. Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!
