Well, as I had figured, the different brush DID make a difference in today's Stoylin shave. Much better loading, you could definitely see the progress in the soap(i.e., suds forming). To say that the larger the brush the better the shave is probably true for us all, but certainly for me, as I don't have the fast-swirling strength I need.
SOTD November 13, 2019 Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap Blade: vintage Schick Plus Platinum Razor: Schick G5 Brush: Artisan badger Soap: RazoRock Blue Barbershop Post: Witch hazel, RazoRock Blue Barbershop aftershave No-focus focus continues. Easy, uneventful shave this morning. Good lather and slickness from the Blue Barbershop, effortless whisker reduction from the G5, and a chilly finish with the splash. Nice combination. Enjoy your day!
My goodness, Perry, I think you were WATCHING me print my post so you could immediately give me a "like". .
Honestly, I just realize I am forgiven every day when I don't deserve to be. I try (and unfortunately often fail) to extend what has been graciously given to me. I so greatly enjoy the relationships that have been built on this site, and I am glad you gentlemen can look past my short comings.
November 13 SOTD: Razor: Gillette Flare Tip Rocket Blade: Polsilver Brush: Stirling Marble Lather: Stirling Sandalwood Aftershave: Stirling Sandalwood It is the coldest morning of the season so far as we hit 29 this morning. I am not sure, but I think mother nature has Houston confused with Minneapolis. I normally shave with cold water, but that didn't sound too appealing this morning, so I actually broke out my scuttle. It was nice warm lather, and it felt great. Two passes, and a DFS. A little Sandalwood AS to finish, and I got to go fight Houston traffic. I hope everyone has a great day!
Don't put yourself in the same category, Jim. I will just say this and then I am going to move on. If the person in question had simply showed some contrition, I firmly believe there would not be this stigma around him. Most people, including myself, are quite forgiving. It's in our nature. What I won't forgive is a lack of remorse.
