This is the fourth in my series of test runs with Stirling Soap - Having tried Arcadia, Baker Street, Gatlinburg thus far, today I went on to Sandpiper. I'm still trying to place the scent - which is a wonderful, warm, cologne type scent. Spicy, but not overpoweringly so - I definitely detect the cardamom on top, the cedar, and, a bit more vaguely, the caraway underneath. Definitely a keeper, and an excellent choice for colder weather.

    Pre-shave: Hot shower/towel
    Razor: Merkur 34C HD
Blade: Voskhod (#5, and that's enough for that one!)
    Brush: Omega Pro 49
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements Ceramic Lathering Bowl
    Soap: Stirling Sandpiper
    Aftershave: Stirling Sandpiper Splash

This soap has all the slick performance one would expect from Stirling's tallow-lanolin based soaps, and a very nice moisturizing quality. Highly recommended.

I haven't used Krampert's in a while, but it is excellent. The soap was made by Soap smooth and the flask is just a great way to contain the skin food and great scent.

  12. Such bleakness in one post!

I recently used an injector for the 1st time and i had the impression that the blades were blunt (they are older than me lol) so perhaps its a function of the blade not the user.
