Tues 12th Nov RazoRock Syn 24mm Faena Sandalwood ER 1914 Gem S/S [ 6 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion A bit of a rush today , and with the blade on 6 the Shave was rather raspy, but actually got a trouble free Shave with a very good all round finish.
Schick Type A, Schick blade, shave 5 This shave was with a Chinese Schick blade. Confirmed 2 things first my blade sharpness test isn't that good and I need to test blades via a full shave and not a single pass or hair in the cream test. Secondly this razor still doesn't get me a BBS finish though this shave was even closer than the vintage Schick blade but that was due to me using what I will call Gillette Blue Tip amount of the pressure to get a close shave. The shave should have been a bloodbath with the amount of pressure I put on the blade when shaving but it wasn't so that tells me everything I need to know about this razor. It is a mild razor simple as that, maybe sticking a pin or something equivalent behind the blade to give it more exposure might improve the shave.

Simpson Chubby 1/ Maggards Finest 2band Williams Mug soap Gem Micromatic [ Bullet Tip ] Gem S/S [ 2 ] Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion I have not used this the latest Micromatic enough, as it was hidden away with my 1912 hoard.I find that while it may be not so aggressive it does provide a very smooth Shave, which allows you to do the polishing up work needed to get a good close all round finish, without any problems arising. I will be including this in my regular rotation of ER/Gems.

Williams Wednesday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Williams Mug Shave Soap Jayaruh #313 Gem Heavy Flat Top CVS CS SE CWR Aqua Velva Musk My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Gem Heavy Flat Top razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SOTD Nov-13-2019, Still enjoying the Enders Speed shaver and did some J hooking this morning with no issues, tomorrow will try some Enders slide maneuvers to see how it handles that procedure. Razor : Enders Speed shaver - MFG 1940's> Blade: Schick proline B-20 + Enders blade carrier Soap: Proraso Red Sandal wood Brush: Razorock Plissoft Preshave: Brush wash face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on beard area. Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse Post shave: Proraso green with witch hazel + Nivea balm Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + alum indicated no issues + no weepers = Have some great shaves!
Schick Type B1, Schick blade, shave 6 Not a BBS shave but the closest shave I get from any magazine razor I've used so far. Up tomorrow a B2.
