I'm not an authority by any stretch, but I've tried a handful of the Old Spice dupes. My favourite is Barrister's Reserve Spice. Don't know how close it is to the original, but I surely like it. That is probably followed by Endurance and Avon Spicy. Stirling Spice is a little behind those, to my nose.

    Friday NOvember 15

Yes, I’m a little behind. No Repeat (mostly) NOvember. No repeats so far except for scuttle, blades, and alum. Up today is one of my favorite razors, my Kirby Beard 1942.

    Bowl/Scuttle - GP12
    Soap - Baum.BE
    Brush - Rubberset #3
    Blade - Gillette Platinum (5)
    Razor - Kirby Beard 1942
Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Lilac Vegetal

    Shave rating 5 of 5

Another excellent 2 pass shave today. Might have been better than the shave yesterday with it's older sibling. And, this is still true: this razor might give me the best first pass of any of the DE razors I own when I've got 3 days or less growth. First time using the A/S - it smells ok, I'll have to ask my wife and kids what they think. The alum was slightly vocal again on my neck area.

Happy NOvember and great shaves everyone.

Neat setup, Ken! I, alas, was not chosen by the Veg. That's a cool brush you have there.

Lots of North American websites carry MWF, Paul. Lots with free shipping thresholds as well. Maggards, IB, Fendrihan, West Coast Shaving, etc...take your pic.

Connaught Shaving has the best prices I've found (even including shipping) on many items, especially at volume. Personna blades, GEM SE blades, Palmolive SS for sure.
