    Proraso PS - Red
Heritage Collection - Klenzo - 26mm HMW Heritage 'Gel' Tip
Art of Shaving SC - Oud
Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus Steel - Green Kirinite
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements ASB - Star Jelly (menthol)
Art of Shaving - Oud Cologne Intense

Fragrant, awesome AoS thick and slick lather this morning, which helped the Drew Dick razor mow it down. Still a bit of irritation on the lower right neck (re-opened a weeper), but managed a 2.5 pass DFS+ all over with some very light neck buffing. Followed with unscented (but a light menthol) PAA ASB called 'Star Jelly', then AoS's Oud 'Cologne Intense'. A wifey and family favorite.

Second use of the Klenzo with the 'gel' tip. Love the handle. Great color. Feels nice in hand. But, not the knot. Lather hog is an understatement, and face feel is 'wimpy mush'. I'll confess to being a badger newbie, but what gives? Hardly any lather in the shave bowl, nor much will transfer to face. This knot just held it and bloomed bigger and bigger. Painting on helped, but squeezing out the lather (2-3 heavy passes worth) into the bowl and hand applying worked best. Transplant thoughts abound.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Taco Tuesday!

  18. Beautiful photos and colors Blair. Sorry about the brush. Some dense brushes are just lather hogs and require more product. At least that is my experience face lathering.

SOTD 11192019 Ist use Maseto brush.gif Defiantly on a Cooper Focus. Getting better shaves every time I use this blade holder. Dug deep into the shave cabinet and pulled out the patchouli. Thought it would be a good soap to break in the 30mm Finest two band fan Andrew @Linuxguile sent my way. Nice fat handle in the Soap Destroyer style, but natural bristles rather than their synthetic. I do like the looks of a fan shaped knot, and this Maseto Shaving brand brush is densely packed. No time to bloom, went to the puck with a Dawn dish liquid washed and shook out knot and loaded plenty of soap. Being a fat knot it tried to hold on to the lather, but I coaxed it out. Nice quality & quantity when I scraped the badger bristle on the edge of the bowl. Took two & a half passes with the third use (?) blade, only trying for a SAS. I'll need either a fresh blade, more training, or a third pass to ensure DFS or better. Splashed on a goodly handful of juice, and I'm out the door to talk to a man about a Ford.
    Good Shaves Y'all!
