Very nice shave this morning. I do believe this is the first time this blade has seen a hone, pretty minty. Have a good one.

The New Le Grelot PIFed to me by a friend. I ran it over the JNAT, but needs a bit more work. I am not sure if the steel is too hard or am I not spending enough time with the naguras, but it is not the best shave it has given me. Did much better with film and diamond pastes...

Yesterday’s shave, #46 on the Filly Sub Cero edge longevity test, rolling along nicely....

Today, 8/8 Alien by @Snailforge cream was SMN lathered with a Simpsons 59, and a little SMN body cream finished up a BDBS shave.

They are just across the Willamette River, south of downtown Portland. Their website has an email form for shop visits/tours. Lots of video on portlandrazorco dot com as well. I should bike on over.

Shave 47 on the Filly Sub Cero Edge longevity test. Cream was SMN lathered with a Simpsons 59, and a dab of SMN balm finished up. Still quite good, at this point, I’m optimistic!

I touched up this blade last night on some synthetics and this mornings shave was a little on the harsh side. My face really likes Dr. Jon's soap. I picked up a few tins just for the art work and have been surprised with the shave and post shave. It's as good as anything I've used. Have a good one.

That’s about right, I’m the third owner I believe. I saw it in SOTD, and missed it when it sold, but then it came up again and I bought it. I’ve had it for 2-3 years I think.

That is one of the interesting things about pieces like this. Unless you really have a very odd taste, you can have a custom razor made, use it for a while, and then sell it on without taking a huge hit.

Had a lovely shave with this Vintage Solingen blade. Was BBS in two passes.

Black-and-white ‘Bele and Lokai’s razor’ Le Grelot 14 on it’s maiden shave. You’ll recognize the theme if you’re a fan of the original Star Trek. Cream was AdP Colonia lathered with a Simpsons 58, and AdP balm and EdT brightened up a dreary grey morning. Shave was perfect, but I think the razor didn’t like the finisher so I’m going to try another. It just wasn’t that butterknife smooth - yet!
