NOvember 21st Gillette SA-109 w Sharp Star Omega Pro/ Walnut & Brass Jeeves Apothecary Thayers Barrister’s Reserve Fern Well that was interesting. Next up was the Black Beauty, this excellent soap and the venerable Fern. Grabbed a Sharp Star, which is my fave of the Rapiras, and that is the end of the feel good part of the story. I have 2 true cuts on my neck plus about 5 other weepers. How? Who the heck knows. I’ve used this gear many, many times. Has to be the blade and there has to be something wrong with it. Or else I forgot how to shave overnight. Binned regardless. I am quite smooth, though. Have a great day all!
Just to clarify for my "likers"....I meant I'll be shaving with them soon-they won't be "arriving" soon.
Nov 21st No Repeat Razor: Gillette Old Ball End Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless Brush: Razorock Plisoft Barber 24 PS: Proraso SS: Chiseled Face Cider and Spice AS: Axe Black My mind wasn't really on my shave this morning. Ended up with several nicks. Otherwise it smooth with just the remnants of irritation from yesterday. The stress of Thanksgiving day shopping is in full swing. If you are able to tap into the mountain of online sales and craziness next weekend know that an army of people did a great job. If things come to a screeching halt, it's probably my fault.
Ooops..I corrected my error....one OUNCE more, not pound. Can we imagine, getting an order of an 8 lb. soap puck??????
NOvember MWF~~Rubberset~~Cooper/Polsilver~~Small Batch Shave Tonic Let's observe two close-up pictures of my Cooper, with blade loaded. I was careful to press firmly on the cap, whilst tightening the bottom knob. The first picture shows, what I would describe as a very slight angle down-right. Observe the teeth... Now observe the other side... Same angle, in the opposite direction. This, imo, is an issue. And while I got a very good shave today...I lightened my touch significantly, I find it difficult to believe that this is normal. Cooper experts, please chime in. And BTW... Just another typical shave for Primo.
Woohoo! Congrats on knocking out the Fat! I don't have the experience that others here have with the Monobilt. Hopefully they can help get you sorted.
I would not consider myself an expert by any means, but no, I don't believe mine has that angle to it. On first look, it appears the 'catch' doesn't bring it down level on yours. I will check when I get home tonight and get back to you.
Hope it slows down for you, Evan. Ironically enough, the fine Tech support people at Jos. A Bank have spent a few hours with me lately trying to figure out why their Ship to Canada tab isn't working these days...
Thanks Gary! Thank you, Jason! Fantastic shave Gary! Thank you, Blair! Stunning shot Jim! Happy Anniversary, Perry! Great shave! And Enjoy the holiday festivities next week! Beautiful setup, Clint! Awesome photo and shave Daniel! When my skin feels dry I usually apply a balm first then clean up my gear while it gets absorbed and then apply a splash of AS last. Excellent photo and shave Danny! Very nice Jeff! Fantastic shot Mark! Eek! Sorry for the bloodletting, Jason. Sorry to hear about the nicks, Evan, Here's to tomorrow!
