Nice images and report Jeff. That sounds like some serious menthol....I'm such a menthol wimp that Proraso Green does that to me
Too cute! Nice, Jeff! Sounds like I need that soap and aftershave in my collection. I take the head apart on my Supply Co to load the Schick B 20's.
November 22, 2019 Occam’s SS Safety Razor Feather Brad Sears Disco Mike’s Lavender Shave Stick Fine Lavender Pour Homme I decided to give thee Occam's safety razor a try this morning I went with the hybrid OC plate and a new Feather blade. I pulled out the Brad Sears Disco and Mike's Lavender shave stick. The disco did a wonderful job of whipping up the lather. Lavender is one of my favorite scents and adds so much to the shave while face lathering. This razor and plate combo has a lot of blade feel. I won't say its super aggressive but you do know its there. The shave was very efficient. I did end up with several weepers which I sort of expected the first time using the razor. Overall I am impressed with the quality of the razor and the shave. Even more so when I consider the price. I thought I had caught the baby. However while sitting here reading the posts and rubbing my hand along my neck, I discovered I missed a spot. I am tempted to go back and finish the job but I will just skip it. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.
I do the same thing. I really love the Supply Co razor since we don't have to leave a blade installed in the razor like other injectors.
November 22nd Razor: Gillette Red Tip A3 Blade: Gillette Super Thin (1) Brush: Montalvo mixed Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: B&M Fougére Gothique PAA Galactic witch hazel PAA unscented Star Jelly AS: B&M Fougére Gothique No Repeat November Good morning! Fantastic shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum. First time using a Gillette Super Thin blade. Nice! Plenty smooth and plenty sharp. Definitely a candidate for a bulk purchase. B&M Fougére Gothique. I would say this is a polarizing scent. Earthy, musty fougére. I love it! Have a great Friday!
Thank you, Clint! Excellent shave. Sorry about the weepers but I know you'll have it figured out in no time.
And now....it's time once again for......your Friday Files: -I'm a little insulted by the website RiseGrooming(where I bought my set of 9 Rise shaving creams). There is not one Rise product on there anymore. It still has Pears Soap, why not call it PearsGrooming? -This coming week, I'll get my first real crack at Central Texas Soaps without Bentonite Clay. After two or three shaves, let's see if I can begin to feel the difference. Course I still have the one that HAS Bentonite Clay, too. -Picking up on the previous file, I'll also shave this coming week with a soap that has Kaeolin Clay. Reading about Bentonite and Keolin, it's a little hard(for me anyway)to determine which kind is best for shaving.
Thanks for the feedback. I started doing that also off and on after about a week into using it. The second blade (the ones that shipped with the razor) rusted in a corner. Guess I didn't get it shaken out enough. Now, I'm doing it for every blade change...and taking it apart to dry.

If it is user error on a downhill (or is it uphill) razor I'd be surprised. I'm sure you can shave with it, but it looked odd to me.
