Friday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Mitchell's Wool Fat Jayaruh #313 Eversharp G Personna CWR Cella After Shave My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Eversharp G razor with a Personna blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
SOTD and Review, 22 November 2019 First shave with my newly delivered Fine Marvel Razor and a new Voskhod blade today, and I will definitely affirm all reports of this razor's efficiency. No doubt it's on the milder side, though I wouldn't claim the title "mild" but rather I think "medium" might be better. The blade gap is large at 0.95 mm (which apart from the interesting design is the main reason I wanted to try this out) but you'd never know the gap was that large given how easy it is to shave with. Absolutely no issues finding the right angle (as you might expect looking at the razor head given its characteristics). On a crisp, crystal clear 22F morning, Murphy and McNeil's Bád Mór - their bay rum - was calling my name, so that's the soap I went with today. Very very nice shave.
