What are you waiting on to arrive...?

I kept popping up across the top of the screen for me for the last week or so. I think it was more of a tailored offer than a site wide one. I was ignoring it, but... see above.

 

I'm with @PanChango on that. I'd noticed it as well over the last day/days, but didn't try it. Just checked (11/24/2019 @6:25 am Eastern) and it doesn't show. But that could change. Right now they're pushing "Black Friday", their branded charge card, and merchandise on mine.

PS........Do folks having need to post on TDS, relative to a certain time, usually use GMT/Greenwich Mean Time, or their local time?

 

Local time is what shows for me.

I've decided to get one of each razor from the major brands that are producing a modern razor. I figure trying to buy some of the older razors just don't click with me. They're the history of those before me. However, these newer razors are part of my history. My wife wants to open a barber shop/salon. I figure putting these on display would be pretty cool.

 

that would be cool.hope the barbershop/salon works out for you both..

 

I hope so as well. It's more of something to do than it is something that has to be done.

 

that makes it a passion instead of a job..

 

Where we live now there is a bit of money. What I am hoping is that I can sell some razors and some soaps as well.

Tanaka kamisori, Lapping films

 

While regular, folding straight razors are impressive, a kamisori is fearsome looking, like it ought to be a Samurai weapon of some sort!

 

some kamisori are made with tamagahane steel, same steel as samurai swords, I want one!!!!

this one is different steel, but it is folded steel with some damascus, most of the net pictures do not do justice
