  3. Thank you Jim. I had a wonderful shave with the wild plate this morning. The razor really surpassed my expectations. I started off so well on the Black Friday weekend. Then I feel off the wagon. I ordered the Rex Ambassador. I had preordered the new Enoch SE from Classic shaving. Due to the delay in shipping the Enoch we received a coupon for $50 off the Hiram preorder. Well, I just preordered it as well.
  4. Thank you Daniel.

    Decedent December

    Razor: Gillette Toggle F4 (5)
    Blade: Gillette 7O'Clock Yellow (2)
    Brush: Parker Silvertip Faux Horn
    PS: Proraso Green
    SS: Razorock Nomad
    AS: Axe Black

This is my second amazing shave with the Toggle. I really like the weight of this thing. It just seems to automatically find the right angle on my face. Awesome 3 pass shave. I admit part of it may be the fact that I am being more casual about my shaving and not working so hard to get all the stubble off. I'll try the Rhodium RedTip tomorrow and see how that goes.

The auto filter on my phone sure hides the thin spots in the gold plating. I guess I never needed to replate anything. Photo editing does a better job anyway.

Decedent December means no penny pinching for me. Not that I have a huge problem with that. It also means Gold, Rhodium, and Stainless. Yes my Goodwill razor is in the tumbler right now being prepped for a Gold plate.
  8. That is just beautiful. I have already fell off the wagon this weekend and been run over by the wagon. I will have to pass on the brush.

  9. Congrats, Clint!

I went kinda crazy myself. I plan on cutting way way back for 2020 so I'm stocking up on unneeded stuff now.
  10. Just gorgeous Evan.

  12. I am going to have to sell some stuff. Or maybe buy a bigger shave cabinet. :D
  13. I agree! I’m a confirmed M-Bomb user and spice up all my non-menthol soaps and creams. I particularly like MWF WITH 4 drops of M-Bomb.
  14. Thank you Perry.

The literal meaning of decadent has more to do with today's society, than shaving.
If we take the secondary meaning: giving in to self-indulgence, then we have described 99% of wet-shavers.
So, that being said, I will give in to some serious self-indulgence this month.
(Does that mean I have to exclude Williams & Clubman?)
Today's shave fits the bill nicely. Acqua di Parma, Simpson and Heljestrand.
Western European products at their finest.
The AdP creates a lovely lather effortlessly and it was a very luxurious experience applying it with the Beehive.
The Beehive knot is Manchurian and contrary to what you may have heard about this particular hair,
this knot isn't scrubby at all. Plentissimo of back-bone and a handle that fits perfectly in the hand.
Three passes and except for a moment when I zigged when I should have zagged :shocked003:
an excellent shave. Yes, there was a tiny bit of blood-letting on my left cheek.
Finished with some Thayer's and a dab of not-pictured Stirling Glacial Unscented ASB.
Naturally, I spritzed some AdP Colonia for the win.
  17. That toggle is serving you well, Evan.

  18. I told myself "NO" on any shaving purchases this past week and weekend. Didn't work. Bought a tube of CO Bigelow cream at Bath and Body Works and then made a purchase at Stirling. However, most of the Stirling order was for bath soap but I did buy one soap and splash set. So now I need to part ways with two items to maintain one in and one out.
  19. 660 blade? You realize that in my world that is "out of blades", right? Seriously. I'd be calling Russia for a special air drop. :scared011:
  20. Thanks, Perry!
    Wonderfully Decadent, Joseph!
