4th day with the FH and switched out the Nacet for an Astra SP. Today’s decadent software is the Asylum Colonia, made by SV. I rank this Colonia scent a tick behind my other SV scents, but still a nice dupe.
3 passes later I am totally smooth again. One weeper, but not really any significant irritation. After 4 days, this Rhodium plated beaut is already heading towards my Mt Rushmore of shavers.
    Have a great day all!

    Decedent December

Razor: Canadian Gillette NEW LC original plating
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
    Brush: Century #5
    SS: MLS Colonia Di Agrumi
    AS: Stetson

I think I got over confident this morning. Smooth shave but I nicked my neck. Nothing serious just one of those times when I felt a slight pinch and then saw blood a few seconds later. Still a great shave. I nicked myself with my Mach3 more than I do with a DE. Its just life.

This Canadian NEW LC was $2 (plus $5 shipping). All it needed was cleaning. That kind of thing happens a lot.

  8. Here in Boston it's prounounced "Alabamer" awesome, due to the fact that the word following Alabama begins with a vowel. . But not by me.

  10. Yes, the chin is a tricky area. I keep the blade almost flat in that area and make short, deliberate strokes. I start at the lower lip and stroke down a bit and then slide over to the next section and continue until I finish the chin. It's similar to eating corn on the cob going left to right going one to two rows at a time. When you hit the area where the chin meets neck, then you have to rotate the blade to follow the contour of it. Most importantly, use a soft touch. I use North to South and South to North to get a nice smooth chin. Sometimes I will go West to East, but it usually is not necesssary.

Great lavender shave today. Day 5 of Decadent December featured my Gillette New LC which delivered a very comfortable noggin and face BBS. I really like the Grooming Dept Scentless Donkey Milk soap salted with 5-6 drops of M-Bomb I’ve used for the last two shaves. It provides a slick, thick, nourishing lather that was a pleasure to wash and rinse with after the shave. I feel smooth and refreshed!

    SOTD 12/05/19

    RAZOR: Gillette New LC
    BLADE: Suneko
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a face and dome scrub with PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave Soap
    BRUSH: Omega Pro48 Boar
SOAP: Grooming Dept Scentless Donkey Milk
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Fine Lavender Pour Homme AS Splash
