Sounds like the ‘meatgrinder’ has been easily tamed, Perry. Took me some time to get it dialed in, for sure.

Thanks, Jason! I have to think of almost zero pressure with this razor. Any little press down will bite. Efficient razor. Much different than most other injectors.

I have decided (finally) to do a mini-focus this month, so I gathered my Lavender products (forgot the Yardley)
and for the next 8 shaves, will work my way through them.
    IMG_2669.jpeg

For those that missed yesterday's shave, it included Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender and Yardley English Lavender.
Today, I chose the Chatillon Lux Pure Lavender set.
Now, "Pure Lavender" is an apropos moniker for this soap, because that exactly what it is.
If you have ever purchased French lavender essential oil, you will know what I am talking about.
The lavender scent that has a slight "edge" to it. Not sharp, but cutting.
This may not be the scent for everyone, but for my nose, it is appealing.
Bison tallow is a main ingredient in the soap and does it ever get a lovely sheen.
The soap, itself, is very soft. Mos def© a croap. Pliable. Mystic Water pliable.
No blooming is necessary, although I did run some water over the soap and pour it out, before I showered.
    Can't classify that as a bloom. :rolleyes005:
The brush today is a Simpson B "Major" with a 22mm Super Badger knot.
Side note: Sounds like it should be a symphony title.
These brushes were not meant to be used with the case attached, as in the photo.
Indeed, the reverse threads only secure the knot inside the traveling case.
22mm doesn't sound like much of a knot, but this one defies logic.
Whipped up a glorious, rich, protective, ethereal, slick and shiny lather.
The Portland 1905 had zero issues navigating the 24-hour stubble.
Usual remnants on the lower neck, but anyone who follows my shaving escapades
knows that Primo don't care. :rolleyes005:
Cheeks are smooth for Dr. Mrs. Primo...:sexe:
After a rinse with my Thayer's Medicated WH, I double-dosed the Chatillon Lux
Pure Lavender AS, for a flowery-finish.

    Good morning, guys
    Traditional Straight Shave #134
    30 Same Straight/Same Setup #24
5/8 Wostenholm Full Hollow Sq Pt
    Stirling Boar Brush
    Stirling Sandalwood SS and AS
    Nivea ASB not pictured
I treated myself to a hot towel shave this morning because I am off today and had the time. It really feels good and it is quite relaxing. Facelathered the Stirling Sandalwood to its usual great lather. I have been getting away from doing 2.5 passes with touchups, but now I am down to 2 passes with very little touchups at all. I look and feel great without having a full BBS and have settled in to get the IBSS+ or IBSS++. This gives me BBS on the checks and a slight feel of invisible stubble under parts of my jawline. Anyway, I got the IBSS++ taking off a 40 hr stubble with 2 weeps and no irritation. Weeps were gone with the stroke of the pen. Finished the shave in my usual manner. @9nein9, Patrick, I made sure my chin was BBS without weeps, otherwise, what good is my advice in shaving this area. Lol!
Have an excellent day, guys! 20191120_202559.jpg 20191120_202559.jpg
