CVH MK 33, soap was MdC original lavender lathered with a Rooney 1/3 Silvertip, and a splash of SMN lavender AS was the perfect compliment. I am BDBS and smellin’ fine!

Full stropping with the 50/100/200/horsehide progression. Lubricated with some new-to-me vintage Old Spice soap (almost NOS). Lather took and held a lot of water, smooth sailing today.

I do appreciate B&M throwing stuff like this out there... just might have to save it for Halloween only

    Cold Water Rinse
    GZD Berber Stick
    Jayaruh #2
    Wilbert "Acme" 5/8
    CWR
    Pinaud Clubman

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The GZD Berber Stick Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Wilbert "Acme" 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Shave #49 on the Filly 14 Sub Cero edge longevity test, soap was the fresh-smelling MdC vetyver lathered with a Simpsons 59. A splash of SMN lavanda AS topped of a 10/10 shave. The edge is still performing quite well for almost 50 shaves with only a strop for maintenance.

Saturday late afternoon shave. Finally found a time window in the den, jumped straight through it.

Portland Razor Company “the Gustave”, 1/4 grind carbon steel, custom build in 7/8, wood scales. New to me, gave it the full strop progression and went to the den. Sharp, smooth, but a big boy, not as nimble as a more standard grind in my normal selection of 5/8 and 6/8 full hollows. Great for all the wide open spaces below the jaw.
